Local Heat reporters are indicating a white version of the Heat culture jersey next season. 
 

With the classic edition unveiled, the statement uni only feels more redundant and pointless. Warriors will have 3 uniforms next year in similar shades of blue. They should’ve stuck with the Bay statement unis, or at least keep gold in the rotation with a new design.

Sixers going with their 71-76 style font for City Edition. Love that quirky look for them this season, especially after the eyesore black ones

 

Prediction: Dark blue jersey with this wordmark and side panels of the same color with red stars on one side and white stars on the other 

The Jazz going black and white just to “simplify the color scheme” is probably one of the worst reasons that could be made for this decision. They can honor one of the most diverse and colorful states by choosing a new color scheme or by looking toward the past. Not even regarding Utah, Jazz is supposed to a type of music that invokes emotion and soul. Not something black and white represents.  This just feels like the easy way out. There is no creativity or branding involved here it’s just wiping the slate clean.

Does that reply mean that another color scheme will be added for a redesign? Or does it mean they're going back to one of those and sticking with it? Or does it just mean that nothing is changing at all? I guess an odd-on favorite would be for them going to a Red Rocks color scheme for everything, right?

And, for what it's worth, i have no insider info on Jazz even redesigning, other than knowing for 100% certain that next season everything will be the same as it has been.

Reading into the press release on the new jerseys, it's really hard to tell whether Origins is limited to the Warriors for their 75th anniversary or is the start of a rebrand for the Classic Edition. It is interesting that “Nike” appears over the logo instead of the metallic emblem swoosh. Maybe it is a classic edition rebrand after all. It is really interesting that they note the city edition will release later on unless it’s just a mistake.

So are all the leaks just unused prototypes for a scrapped idea? Some of them are definitely better just as concepts (Miami). And it’s looking more and more like the Earned Edition is something that is every other year instead of every year.

I feel like there won’t be too many rebrands next season with the focus being on the 75th anniversary weird city edition. Expecting (and dreading) at least 15 games in those for each team.

It’s worse than Cleveland. 

Is that black Miami jersey the one that has been incredibly hyped up for like two years now? I really hope not. Hopefully they meant the season after this blender edition that leaked. 

There’s no way they have city, classic and this pseudo retro reverse all in one season. It has to be some sort of special anniversary edition that merges city and classic.
