Too often, people focus on individual pieces of the large and complex picture that is success. Joe Montana was a great quarterback. But Joe Montana was a great quarterback in large part because of Bill Walsh, his supporting cast of teammates, and management dedicated to establishing a winning tradition. So if Joe had gone to a less advantageous situation, odds are he wouldn't be wearing Super Bowl rings and his bronze likeness wouldn't be in Canton.Trent Dilfer does not have near the quarterbacking skills of Dan Marino...but he has a ring. And so on. Carr has talent and Elway would have had a tough time succeeding in Houston the last few years. So let's see where Carr lands and how he does.
