zuck Posted July 10, 2009 Share Posted July 10, 2009 I rarely post here, just do a lot of lurking, but feel I need to say this.I have spent quite a bit of time in the last week or so in Modell's and Sports Authority and feel disgusted by the marketing of the 4th of July hats, T-Shirts, etc... I have seen being sold. I do not believe for one minute that MLB is honoring America, Canada, etc... just another marketing ploy to sell more stuff. Reminds me of what Yogurt said in Spaceballs: "Merchandising, merchandising, where the real money from the movie is made. Spaceballs-the T-shirt, Spaceballs-the Coloring Book, Spaceballs-the Lunch box, Spaceballs-the Breakfast Cereal, Spaceballs-the Flame Thrower."
