Not happy about the black numbers on white.

Imo I like the black numbers. I think it also adds balance to how much they expose the teal on the new uniforms.

My only bait is the yellow/orange hockey stick and, inside the crest. To me, it stands out. But I guess with the overdraft of using the teal in the uniform ( gloves and helmets ), you don't notice it... as much.

Overall, it's an upgrade. I like the new uniforms for the SJ Sharks.

  2. Alright this may be a newbie question, but I've seen not to figure out the gradient option yet.

I have trouble using the gradient tool, to pick out custom colours for example, when I use it the gradient it goes to default colour, and I want to you use the colours that I choose or a costume colour ( sorry if no one understands that ).

I was woundering if anyone can help me out, because I am lost lol.

To change the colors for your gradient, drag whatever swatch you want to the little swatches on the gradients layer/palette. For example, if you want one end to be orange, drag the orange swatch to the black or white swatch in the gradient palette. Does this make sense?

Then, to apply a direction, choose the gradient tool from the toolbar, and you select the shape, then drag up or down, depending which way you want it to go.

    Hopefully this helps.

Oh that worked never thought of doing that lol.

Thanx you very much, it helped out.

  4. okay, so not the worlds best example but this is how i do it.

quick sketch of the face and then block it in.

    kneck, chin and jaw

    eyes

nose and those lines around your mouth and

    mouth and detail.

its impossible to just draw a face from just the shapes. you need some sort of a sketch.

    well i do anyway.

    sketch.png

Thats good sketch and a good ideal of what ya do , or how ur logos evolve.

Squint. Squinting at an object causes it to be desaturated, allowing you to pick up the lights and darks easier. I leaned this in drawing classes in college

What kinda of classes did/do you take JP ? Was it related to Graphic design, or something related to it ? ( Sorry to ask im looking to that my self )

IMO it be good to add a Drawing help topic sorta like Illustrator Help, in case ppl on here ask questions or tips about drawing or need help on a drawing.

    Just my 2 cents lol.

  5. Okay, I probably got a noob question but im still lost at applying the mesh holes. I got the patch and all, but how do i resize it, or just apply it . I'm trying to find something on Google, but haven't succeeded lol.

  6. Ok sorry if this is double post or w/e just thought no one would read my edit post, but i was woundering how can u or if u can make mesh holes , and making sticking lines on AI.

    Thanx if anyone can help.

I was willing to give you some pointers, however I have no idea what you are asking for.

Well i figured out how to do the stiching line. But as for the mesh holes im talking about as you see on the new rbk templates. I was woundering if there is a way i can do that on illustrator ?

  8. first, make a copy of the jersey outline, with no fill, and bring it to the front...select the jersey outline and the numbers, or whatever else you want clipped and hit either ctrl+7 (pc), command+7 (mac), or object-->clipping mask-->make

    hope that made sense.

Yeah it work thanx for the help, Plus does it always go white ( the jersey outline ) or do i have to select the colours before i make the clipping mask ?

  9. I dont know if this has been metioned before about clipping mask. Im lost on how to use it such as on templates from hockey to footbal. Things such as hiding the numbers. Its hard to explain but im sure or hopefully somone out there understands what i am talking about.

  10. I dont know if this can be done here or photoshop or where ever but i was woundering how or if can be done the stiching on a jersey such as the latest conept "jesery wallpapper", if anyone knows what i am talking about .

Can this be done threw illustrator ?
