  1. Stamkos will probably be earning somewhere in the $6-7M range which would require teams to have possession and give up a multitude of first round picks for several years to come, including several 2nd round picks as well in compensation to Tampa. As far as the cover goes, at first glance i thought it was one of the Sedins. I don't get all the lines across the image. It looks like a giant mess, almost like an artist sketching an image with pencil. It's really hard to make out who it is exactly. Maybe go for a shot that reveals the TB logo, and shows more of Stamkos's face without all the obstruction.
  2. Actually Upper Deck has a history of using jerseys from previous years or throwbacks in these photoshoots for which they make cards. Everything from wearing old jerseys, 3rd jerseys to throwbacks (ie. Phaneuf wore an Atlanta Flames jersey in his photoshoot for his rookie year) to simple NHLPA jerseys
  3. My top 3 in order. The rest are in no particular order 1. 2. 3. ------------------------------- It wasn't until today that I realized how AWFUL basketball/NBA logos are
  4. I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but did anyone catch the VS scorebug? I don't have a screenshot, but it looks like the one they used in the playoffs. I loathe it. It looks so amateurish... like someone who got Photoshop for the first time and started tinkering with it and mastered 1 or 2 of the worst features.
  5. The hockey pucks used to have that word logo. There was a lot of merchandise with that Habs wordmark too. I have a mini goalie stick with the wordmark + logo.
  6. I have no problem with the black nameplate. The worst thing about this jersey and the Flyers regular season alternate is the neon orange. WTF is up with that?
  7. lol what is with the HD emblems on each end of the bug? The fonts are almost impossible to read even in HD.
  8. The Kings jersey is nice but the logo is ugly as hell though. I'm also not a big fan of the number/name font
  9. care of TrevertoLindongoFan @ www.forumice.com He found these at a local Jersey City in BC somewhere. He says they also had a Kings 3rd out there as well but the batteries in his phone died before he could snap a pic.
  10. Sharks jersey needs a hem stripes, and I mean real stripes... not a 1" thick trim around the base. SJ shoulder logo should have been a the shark fin. The jersey is really boring from the logo down. For an RBK design, I guess it's pretty good when compared to the other crap Sens is a complete and utter disaster. I can't believe a professional sports franchise would wear those jerseys Kings is a joke. What is that crap? The logo is hideous and holy piping overload. The horizontal elbow stripes and vertical piping along the arms makes the jersey look sooooooo wrong.
  11. This is true. Note how the Original 6 NHL teams told Reebok where they could stick their awful crap, with 4 teams changing nothing, 1 team making only minor changes, and another doing a retro jersey anyway. Even still you will lose as a fan because they will jack up prices and reduce quality. Hell, Reebok already did this. Remember how you could get NFL jerseys for like $40-$50 before they took them over? They instantly became $65 and now they are what, $75-$85? This is true. Not quite: Canucks and Senators got new jerseys all together, so can't include them. Calgary was butchered with piping and blotches of black/red/yellow all up the waist/under arm area... not to mention the god awful socks. Edmonton basically wear practice jerseys, all white or all blue, with vertical elbow bands that go about half way around and some ridiculous piping. Toronto lost the hem stripes. Basically an all blue or all white jersey with 2 stripes on the elbows. Montreal stayed pretty much the same except for the blue elbow bands are angular instead of being parallel.
  12. The jerseys also get a little darker and less reflective when they're wet. Not so much for the pants
  13. Sounds like it's for remembrance day. PS check out Mike Smith's save percentage and GAA! Crazy!
