Paul is a dang weirdo but he has lots of legit sources so I listen to him for facts. The rest, though, yeesh. "all purple is terrible" "no one should ever buy jerseys or hats" "here's 10,000 words on the difference between 'ads' and 'sponsors'"

Not unless they get approval from London on the name, since they hold the trademark in Canada. I'm betting they'll just use the Sand Knights trademark that they already have from a while back.
The London Knights have no power here. The Lethbridge Hurricanes existed almost 10 years before the Carolina Hurricanes did.

My favorite KJ story: way back when on MNF, Dennis Miller made a reference to Keith Jackson. Dan Fouts chimes in with a "whoa nellie". Miller replies "actually I was talking about the former Eagles tight end".

The new Tottenham Hotspur stadium has a retractable field for grass/soccer and turf/football. They say they can host the NFL and PL on the same day, even.

Melnyk says he isn't selling the team but is open to moving it. What a jagoff. One the one hand, he's a lying scumbag, but on the other hand, so much for "just put teams in Canada, they'll print money"

Forbes sets the mm market like a Realtor, no more no less (most of the time as the franchises are so limited)
The values mean nothing. Cowboys $4, Real Madrid $3.6, Barcelona $3.5? Absolute nonsense. An open market sale of any of those teams (I don't think it's even possible for an entity to "buy" Real Madrid or Barcelona) would net double that at least. The Cowboys own the most valuable assets in American sports and RM and FCB are the two biggest sports franchises in the world.

Forbes makes those numbers up FYI
Never ever believe anyone is losing money on their sports team unless they open their books to the public or put the team up for sale

Penguins vs Flyers in a Pennsylvania football stadium....
We did this literally LAST SEASON. Don't even bother making new jerseys.
This was announced at the same time as the Heinz Field game. This is just a confirmation of the date and time.
State College is a dump, it's good that they aren't playing the game there
And don't give me "oh we should move on" about Penn State, no one there learned anything. The 409 truthers are still as loud as ever.

Like the collective ego of the NHL Board of Governors and Gary Bettman.
Ego is absolutely not a factor. It begins and ends with money. Will someone give us money to stick around? We will until they stop. Is the well dry? We're out of here. Why do you think they are still in Glendale but abandoned Atlanta?

They will more than likely be the next ones to move
A lot more goes into this than "Does a team have poor attendance" and "If yes, are they in a non-traditional market"

I don't trust ANYONE talking about heat in sports because it's scientifically impossible. The whole reason we can make screens that big now is because LEDs use less electricity and create less heat. Ever think maybe it was hot because it's October and frickin 80 degrees still?
Same thing with people whining about the new Falcons stadium being super hot under those lights. Do they look weird? Yes, LED lights often have different color temperatures and make things look different, one trip to the light bulb aisle at Lowe's will tell you that. But they don't make heat.

It's not mutually exclusive for Cam Newton to have (1) said a sexist thing that he shouldn't have and (2) been unfairly targeted for criticism because of racism
He actually made a really good apology, it sounded sincere, like he wrote it himself, and wasn't just "I'm sorry if anyone was offended"

Nothing summed up Ryan Lambert better than him going on Mark Madden's show in Pittsburgh and Mark telling him "don't try doing your gimmick on me, I've been doing it way longer and better than you have". He's nothing better than a pot-stirrer, my last straw was when he spent all of 2010 saying how Dan Bylsma ruined USA hockey at the Olympics because he's a terrible coach and then when the Penguins fired him he said it was unfair because he's a really good coach and it's not his fault Crosby gets injured and Malkin is a head case. Oh and Fleury is the worst goalie of all time despite winning the Cup in 09 and being the Penguins playoff MVP in 08.
A while after, he said on twitter that he was supposed to be on the Mark Madden show but got bumped for RJ Umberger. Mark told him, "you didn't get bumped, I canceled you because my producer booked you without telling me"
I don't always agree with Mark but Lambert was pretty insufferable for a guy doing a bit who got his job stealing content from the Something Awful hockey threads.

This tream's been there for twenty years and hasn't made anyone a dime. It was time to pull the plug five, or even ten, years ago.
There's no reason for the NHL to move the Coyotes until the local governments finally stop giving them money (which all governments should, all stadiums are a scam)

The NHL skipping the Olympics doesn't matter in the slightest. Going to the Olympics has produced zero tangible growth in the NHL, and if it was so important to the players that they get to go, they would have negotiated for it. In the end, even the Russian guys talking tough are not going to go and life will go on and no one will care and the game between under 20s at 7 am ET are going to be watched by no one in 2018.

This is kind of overstating it because it's just going to be some post-production stuff after the fact
Also I will say that the glow puck was a good idea that was ahead of its time, the technology just wasn't there
