I know it's highly unlikely, but these shifts pretty well ruin college basketball.

Pretty much every conference will be like the Big East. It'll change everything about college basketball.

The SEC has clearly defined divisions, which is probably why they do it that way. They use it for seeding the SEC tournament.

You don't have to split up the conference for basketball. They don't in the ACC. They just run 1-12 and everyone has one (or is it two?) team(s) they always play twice.
