Same reason everybody else wears white socks with white pants. Kids and morons love the icy white yoga pants look.
Also, they kinda deserve to look like trash as long as Snyder owns the team.
I've thought for a while that same color socks as pants is an attempt to help get away with wearing pants shorter to try and avoid fines.

The epitome of "Look at me" mentality. Different color gloves/cleats or loose shirt is one thing... but... this is solely to draw attention to oneself. After a certain number of uniform fines on one particular part of the uniform, they should either increase the fine exponentially, or suspend them for a game.

Wow they really, REALLY don't want to touch the burgundy jerseys. Kinda unfortunate that these will get action before what is supposed to be their primary uniform.
On the other hand, that Giants/Bears matchup should be really good. Can't go wrong with two pure classics.
I'm also surprised that they aren't debuting them at home first. In a perfect world, the first 4 games would've looked something like:
Week 1- Home- White Jerseys Debut
Week 2- Away- White Jerseys
Week 3- Home- Burgundy Jerseys Debut
Week 4- Away- Burgundy Jerseys

I'll be honest, the neon green for Seattle has grown on me.
It's just their thing and in Seattle, where its pretty grey a lot of the time, the electric color really helps.
I wouldn't want that for Jacksonville, but the Seahawks, they own it and I'm down with that.
And luckily, they typically wear it for night games. I don't want to imagine that for a 1:00p kick on a sunny day. That would be brutal

Who would’ve thought the Sun Belt would be the conference to beat so far? Lol
Scott Frost has to be done. That’s crazy

So I assume the best team's players are now going to make the NFL minimum since they'll be playing an NFL-length schedule?
Let's add a conference tournament while we're at it.
boo hoo… every other division in college has a playoff system, and plays up to an NFL length season. Most FBS schools all have top dollar recovery and training rooms, indoor facilities, and locker rooms. Not to mention they have the ability to earn money from their likeness, AND get their education. -

We could have an update by Friday to know if we'll have a 12-team College Football Playoff in the 2026 season, or as early as the 2024 season if the right details line up.

An expansion would be a nice change of pace. Right now... its so predictable. The same 7 teams fight for 4 spots, and the title picture has become stagnant.

And Florida State is still on the same ‘chain mail mesh’ Nike template. Either their athletic department is really poor, or they have a terrible supplier contract.

Juan Soto rejected the Nats offer of $440 million.
It's not about the money for him; he just doesn't want to be part of the rebuild, which is understandable. He'll probably be in either Dodger blue or pinstripes by seasons end.
Wherever he goes, the Nats will get back a truckload of prospects in return. I hope he doesn't go to either of those. Or Boston. Unfortunately, I don't know where else would be willing to take him on and give him the mega deal. Both the Yankees and Dodgers outfield is pretty crowded right now, and the Yankees have Judge's future deal coming up. Who knows...

Following the helmet change for VT with the removal of tapered stripes on the maroon helmet, the white helmet gets an upgrade as well

With Alyssa Nakken's historic in-game appearance last night, it's looking like a City Connect jersey may be on its way to Cooperstown!
(For the record, I'm quite a fan of my team's City Connect jerseys. I just with they had gone with a full "Giants" wordmark instead of just the "G")
I think the SF logo would have even made more sense than just the G

Those bottom two are especially egregious.
Baseball is so broken.
It won't happen, but they should be forced to sell the team. They obviously don't care to compete, and are a waste of time for those fanbases to invest in. A Salary floor and cap is desperately needed in this league, but neither side will ever go for it.

I was playing the MLB9Innings22 app game and they have updated Cleveland's logos and uniforms. Didn't notice any official release but it looks like what you'd expect for the home & road (same template with new logos/workdmarks).
My question is why are the sleeve logos on the right now? The last time the franchise has a sleeve logo it was Wahoo on the left. I saw a lot of mock-ups (such as below) for what the Guardians would do and they all seemed to go with the right sleeve as well. Does anyone know the reason for this change?
My guess would be so that the logo appears to be in motion towards the front of the body, rather than away from the body.

The red pants would have clashed with every jersey they have.
They would need an alt white Jersey with the black side panel stripe to make it work. Or kill me for suggesting it, a solid red Jersey with the black stripe
I'm kinda surprised that this isn't a thing with some teams since the alternate jersey allotment has increased to two. Have the option for two different road jerseys and two different home jerseys. You want a full throwback set, you got it. You want an alternate home and road, you got it.
With the Falcons, have white jersey, black side stripe, Red numbers/black drop shadow.

The previous Rangers uniforms were just fine. All 4 Jerseys saying Texas, same template... Relatively good look

I'd still love to see the Padres introduce a home alternate brown top with the team name in gold across the chest. To me, that would complete their look.
Or even a Brown with SD like the Spring Training jerseys would be nice

I agree. He isn't bad but I can't take it when he starts screaming.
I can't watch a game with him at all. It always feels like he picks one team before the game and is overly bias towards them. I also laughed when he was on the Jaguars game on Sunday... definitely made that game feel like a college game.

I'm more or less amazed that teams are sticking with Color Rush socks considering there's no requirement for them to do so. The Giants could wear blue socks (or bring back 80s style socks) with the 80s throwback.
It’s because they have to look or- 8
