  1. I think you can still incorporate white into the Bengals helmet and have it match what tiger stripes look like by fading the orange to white at the bottom of the helmet. It doesn't have to be a gradual fade either (which wouldn't look great). The actually fade at the bottom of the tiger is not that gradual either, but that's where the motivation of the orange to white fade comes from.
  2. US soccer dropped the new kits late at night for some reason, but here they are, in typical Nike templated fashion. Meh.
  3. I wish teams had freedom to recolor their league patches on primaries (I'm guessing they don't?) like they do on secondary shirts, like this one.
  4. here are a few looks at the new ESPN graphics during the game
  5. I'm betting the jerseys have thin, white pinstripes similar to those socks. As much as I wanted to see the hoops come back, horizontal pinstripes would look good too. And the blue trim coming back is very nice.
  6. When in the world would they have not been able to wear the primary but could wear this? Besides, MLS teams have a tendency just to flip colors around and wear a white shirt in clash kits that gets so boring and tired. I appreciate the creativity and different colors on the clash kits.
  7. Here's a teaser. The question is how dark the blue sleeves will be
  8. Houston Dynamo clash shirt. No adidas stripes?
  9. haven't seen it posted yet, but the Timbers teased their new change kit on twitter a while back could be horizontal red, maroon, and black stripes all the way down the shirt with the rose barbs, would be a unique look
  10. But I guarantee your average fan knows nothing about these collar designs and only finds out about them when they buy the jersey and say "hey, look at that" and then never think about it again...ever. They don't care about design the way anyone who frequents these boards does.
  11. For all the debating about who the in-collar designs are for, I think the answer is pretty clear. It's for Nike, they're showing off what they're capable of in uniform design and doing something nobody else does (I don't think). It's a low-risk design feature because it has no outward appearance.
  12. Personally, I think the matte texture of the new helmet makes the helmet decal really pop (in a good way). Here's a good comparison photo:
  13. I was dead set against the black facemask at first, but when you see it with the logo on the helmet it fits in far better than I imagined it would. The matte/satin finish really emphasizes the logo, which is the best part. I approve.
  14. Feel like there are a ton of overreactions going on here because people got excitied for a perfectly executed new uniform set and it's starting to look like it's not going to be that. BUT, this set is guaranteed to be a huge improvement over the last. I mean c'mon the last uniforms were awful: - an awkward shoulder loop that had no consistency from jersey to jersey - bulky side panels that gave the uniform no color consistency - everything outlined in the gold, which means more piping - rounded off numbers that were almost cartoonish - the most ridiculous looking pants stripe with an awkward piping thing tailing off the bottom, again no shape consistency at all - when the team goes white on white, the side panel on the jersey is purple and so is the pants stripe, but there's a random-ass white box in the middle of it - a logo on the hip that is so small (too detailed a logo to start with) you can't really make anything of it The next uniform is going to be better on almost every level of design. I am disappointed in a few details, but the last uniforms were atrocities.
