    Thanks a lot, Oliver.

The Intimidators definitely have the worst identity in the entire MiLB. Firstly, I would consider changing their name. Secondly, I would also update their color scheme. Maybe this is going to become a future project of mine? We'll see!

I'd love to see some minor league baseball charm sprinkled all over that ball club. I hope you muster up the inspiration needed to pull the project off.

I went ahead and made a few changes to my Real Madrid updated logo. It was brought to my attention that the sash in the logo was getting lost. I decided take a stab and extended it out and the I'm pretty happy with the result.

    What are your thoughts?

    Thanks for the critique GeauxColonels.

Looks much cleaner now. Great job!

What club are you taking a stab at next?

Thanks. Here's the first team that doesn't play in the PL right now.

    Sheffield Wednesday

They are one of two clubs from my project, that I never actually experienced playing in the Premier League, but still would be part of it if I could choose. Why? Because I'm aware of their huge tradition, their stadium and their fan-culture. And I always liked their identity as kind of a blue version of all these clubs like Sunderland, Southampton, Sheffield United and so on.

I'm really happy they changed to their old logo now, as their former logo looked very 'dated'. I just updated the colours a bit to make it look fresh and modern. I went with Admiral as their kit supplier, because I really want Admiral to make a step back into higher levels of soccer. I thought Wednesday would be a perfect club for it.

Simple and effective, I love it!

Bonus points for choosing Admiral. :)

Sorry, I have to disagree that the current jerseys are a mess. I think they're one of the best looking jerseys out there right now. But you are entitled to your own opinion, and when it comes to design and art in gerneral, less is more.

That is the main reason I made these. I really don't think that one can describe the current set as less, there is to much going on with the outlines on the numbers, silver outline on the white panels and HUGE wordmarks on both jerseys. I feel like they have been out for a very long time and we just got used to looking at them, and naturally, people are afraid of change, so they decide to leave them as is (literally nothing has changed on the new ones).

Also, people associate the current set with the great success in the league the team has had playing in those jerseys, so that is one more reason why they are praised by everyone.

  5. This is what I think the Alouettes need, considering their jerseys. The current ones are a mess and I really don't wanna rant about how sth that messy and unprofessional can be assigned and left for years untouched, to a great big team like the Montreal Alouettes.

The design is simple, I kept the current team's colors, knocked out the silver from the pants, and only left it on the helmet. I was inspired by their 1974 unis, that they rocked for 6-7 years, seen here as a throwback:

Anyway, this is the concept, tell me what you think. :)

  6. I really don't understand why do people LOVE Montreal's jerseys so much. Its an eyesore IMO. Too much stuff going on, and the font is horrible. I just don't see the greatness. What I want to see for the Alouettes is sth more like this:

Go with a blue jersey and give them that style sleeves with white and red. I'm ok with the silver helmets that they have now, really indifferent about it.

I honestly think that sth along the lines of the jerseys from the pic would be a much needed upgrade.

I will bump this up for a relevant post...

Someone posted a link to this picture on UniWatch on Saturday, April 30:

This was found in a Salt Lake City area Wal-Mart.

This thread is referenced in the news feed to the article.

I'm guessing no one contacted @Go Red Sox!

It's okay for numbers to have different treatment at different sizes - see the Seahawks and the Packers.  I would eliminate the outline from the back as simply not necessary.

    Yeah, my thought exactly.

Really nice look. Much better than the black. Also love the long sleeves. Will have to keep an eye out for that if it comes available.

Who in Nike had the bright idea to put outlines on the back numbers and not the front.

Thanks, Oliver! Much appreciated. I already did something like that when I redesigned the D.C. United primary mark a couple of months ago.

I find my original version a bit cleaner, but your suggestion makes more sense eventually:

Right on the money! If I was a Georgia Revolution fan, I'd be proud that this logo represents us.

  11. Beeeeeaaaautiful!

Have you given a thought about accentuating one star, because Georgia was one of the original 13 colonies. Just spitting ideas, I would maybe put that one star in the center of the ball, instead of the pentagon.

    But I love it anyway!

  12. To anyone who's lurking around, here's the away kit. Went with the light blue, again homage to the glory season. Different sponsor, Ceresit's brand book didn't allow the lettering to be used like that...their logo is that Ceresit type inside a black boundary box, I thought that looks bad on a shirt so I went on with Siveco, a business software development firm based in Bucurest.

I'm really not sure what to think about the light blue elements on the jerseys and the socks. I mean, I totally understand the team's history and it avoids the kits from being too plain, but I'm not sure if it works.

That was all I needed, those sleeves looked a bit weird to me too, but I went with them anyway just to make the jersey a bit more unique.

    Here's an update:

I've also did some work on the logo to make look it a bit cleaner. Picked a more modern and minimal font, and I fixed the strokes on the peony flower. I think it looks much better now.

  14. Hey guys, I am trying to revive this concept by doing the whole brand identity. I just finished the home kit concept and I would appreciate some C&C. I changed the sponsor on the shirt; I am trying to make it look authentic, so I picked one of their other partners (the previous sponsor logo was bad, it had gradients and a white background). Went with the collar to make it look more traditional, and I am pulling the light blue sleeves from their old kits from 1986 (the year they won the Champions league and Super cup). Those had some light blue accent stripes on the sleeve/shoulder, so I said, might as well make the whole sleeve light blue. The trademark red and blue stripes are there, of course, can't lose those.

    Tell me what you think.
