Something like this perhaps? I really hope this doesn't come to fruition. The updated skate is a nice alternate to the blue and green look, but I do not want black and yellow back full-time.

I think this should be treated as a case of we have to see it to believe it. The NHL seems to only want white away jerseys and with Nashville and now Vegas wearing yellow/gold as their home colour(s), I just cannot see Vancouver having a yellow away if they do in fact switch to the new Skate design full time.

Oh ffs can we please stop touching the Canucks jerseys. They already got rid of the green stripes on the pants. Are they trying to get rid of it entirely so they can look  like the Leafs/Lightning?

My biggest fear is they drop blue and green entirely in favour of the skate jerseys to appease the vocal minority of trendy mouthbreathers demanding they switch to it full time because its the flavour of the month.

I don’t know if the pro-Skate crowd is as much of a minority as you say. I live in the Vancouver area and most Canuck fans I talk to prefer the Skate.

  3. Two things about the Senators I want to share some opinions on since they are being discussed here at the moment: One, I wish they used a metallic, glittery gold material for their logo on their home and away jerseys instead of the flat, khaki gold they chose instead. The sparkly material on the crest of their older jerseys is much nicer; The other thing I want to say is this: I think that unused logo deserves to at least be used on a future third jersey. I like the logo they have gone back to better myself but the prototype logo is really good too and I think it is a perfect choice for a third jersey down the road and far too good to not be used at all.

  4. Now that it is March, I thought I would get this thread going since a thread for the 2023-24 NHL season has not yet been made. Obviously next season is the last for Adidas in the NHL. I have heard that the Flyers are getting new uniforms and I remember hearing somewhere that Columbus and Anaheim could be making a change next season too.

Never gonna get use to these ads on jerseys. It’s so sad to see beautiful jerseys completely ruined by an ad.

I totally agree. It's such a shame to see. I feel the same way not just about the jersey ads, but the helmet ads too.

So now these TV stations are super imposing their own ads on top of the boards that are already covered in ads?

The NHL really decided to make watching this league as unenjoyable as possible over the offseason.

Those digital ads on the boards, the ice, and the glass are just awful. I'm sure some people will laugh and tell me not to let the door hit me on the way out at what I am about to say (type) but I have completely lost interest in the NHL with all the digital ads and now the uniform ads too. I have not watched any hockey since this season has started. I'm just so disappointed to be honest.

This team tonight looked like the Carolina Hurricanes I remember from growing up. It was fun to see.

If after this anniversary season they eventually go back to Red at home with these uniforms and the updated shoulder patches I think a lot of fans would be thrilled. The last iteration of the Homes was a nice way to bridge the gap back to the original uniforms from the "New Storm" uniforms, but these are what I think of when I think about this team.

I'm not a Hurricanes fan but when I saw a photo of Carolina wearing that uniform tonight, I had a moment where I just smiled and I just hope the fan response is so overwhelmingly positive that the team goes back to it permanently. Speaking of throwbacks, I just love seeing the Oilers back in royal blue.

Expanding into Quebec City doesn't expand the game in the same way that it does larger markets in the US.

But Quebec City has what multiple NHL cities lack and that's a passionate, loyal fanbase that would constantly fill their arena's seats night in and night out. I know exactly where you are coming from but I just don't understand the NHL's insistence on keeping teams in places such as Florida and Arizona where even when their teams are really good, they have still had attendance issues. That's another thing that has really frustrated me with the NHL's decision to monetize their uniforms. If they are hurting from COVID-related financial losses so bad, then why are they not considering moving struggling teams to cities that would actually pack their arenas every night instead of putting ads on their uniforms. I think the NHL makes enough money that they do not need digital ads during games or corporate ads anywhere on their uniforms. Anyway, that's just my two cents on it.

  7. It's nice to see that the Hurricanes will actually wear a half-decent jersey besides the Whalers throwback for the first time in too long. Carolina's throwback to me is a case of "you don't know what you got until it's gone". Carolina's jerseys have gone completely downhill in the past decade.

I've always liked this version of the crown that was on their original primary logo, but for some reason was different from the crown they used on the jerseys. Colour this black & silver, throw it on the front of the jerseys, and call it a day.

I'd love to see the Kings finally put this crown on a jersey. The 67' crown is my favourite but this is a good one too.

  9. It would not surprise me one bit if this is considered as an unpopular opinion but I do not like Colorado's uniforms with the blue equipment at all. Way too much blue top to bottom on the home uniform and for me, the blue pants still look out of place on the away uniform. I'll give the Avalanche a bit of credit because they have at least made the back numbers on the white jerseys blue and the player names burgundy to better suit the blue equipment but I still don't like it one bit.

  10. Would anyone happen to know the name of the Arizona Coyotes letter and number font that they use with their kachina jerseys? It would not surprise me if it is a custom font but I thought I'd ask here in case any of you might know. Thanks in advance!

  11. I know this will end up being a very random question but I put two of my Montreal Canadiens jerseys together and the much older one that is a CCM has a much brighter red than my Adidas Canadiens jersey. Did Montreal at one point darken their shade of red, or is it a colour error on my older jersey? I just love the brighter red of my old CCM Canadiens jersey over the darker red my Adidas has.

Just bring this back with the original shade of burgundy and the Foot.  They got it right the first time.

The only thing I disagree with you on is the shoulder patch. I much prefer the boring state flag 'C' over the foot. If Colorado wants to stick with their original look, they should go back to these and stop tampering with their uniforms. I think the blue equipment has been a massive downgrade and I do not like the new blue numbers on their away jersey at all. The black equipment and the black accents on the jerseys did a great job of balancing the colours of burgundy and blue. I also miss the old outlines on the numbers and the glacier twill.

The Stampeders are rolling their 75th anniversary, which should have been last season had it been played, over into this upcoming season.

They also appeared to be teasing new jerseys back around early March (and a guy on Reddit back then said he'd seen the jerseys and "confirmed" they were not just 75th anniversary throwbacks) but those teasers stopped once the pandemic started and I don't believe have returned, so there appear to be new Stampeders jerseys floating somewhere around in the ether.

I have heard that the Stampeders were supposed to unveil new uniforms for the 2020 season and then the rest of the CFL would redesign their uniforms in 2021. I think Montreal would not be a part of that redesign because they just completely changed their uniforms. With COVID-19 shutting the 2020 season down completely, I hope the CFL leaves the uniforms alone for at least another season. A number of teams did make alterations to their uniforms which was not expected, with the exception of the Alouettes when New Era took over in 2019. I hope they don't just change uniforms again when multiple teams tweaked their uniforms in 2019 and have only worn those uniforms for one season.

I wouldn't mind if the Dodgers adopted blue alts for the regular season.

I really respect the Dodgers for keeping it simple and classy but I just cannot understand why they don't wear this jersey during the regular season. It's beautiful, and I think that if they only wore it a few times year at the most, it would be the perfect alternate.
