  1. Does anyone know a good place to buy ring display boxes? I'm looking for one that can hold about 15-20 rings.
  2. http://www.steelers.com/video-and-audio/photo-gallery/PHOTOS-Super-Bowl-Rings/96809d2d-f943-49f9-a89c-f22316c9f3d5 Heres a cool little slide show showcasing the Steelers 6 Super Bowl rings. Courtesy of Steelers.com. Notice the huge difference in size of the '05 ring and '08 ring.
  3. I still think the saints ring looks great. Best ring Thet have done imo
  4. NFL.com has tons of pics with players wearing the ring. I always thought rings look better when not all photoshopped up like in the above pics.
  5. Maybe the giant football shape in the center around the logo is supposed to represent the 7th? They are all football shaped afterall.
  6. cool rings! white gold seems to be the thing to do nowadays. not a bad thing either. I like the subtle use of diamonds on the ring. only a matter of days before the Seahawks get theirs
  7. Wow that is huge! The giants rings weren't too big tho. At least not by today's standards (Steelers & Ravens)
  8. I think you bring up great examples, not to mention how some of the college and high school rings are also copied from superbowl or other championship rings. Here's a conspiracy theory - I have no idea if it's true or accurate so it's only conjecture: You mentioned Superbowl 33-36, 4 super bowl rings, all made by Jostens, all basically the same style and format. Perhaps Josten's became too conforming or unwilling to redesign new rings for teams. Perhaps Tampa Bay shook up the ring community and Jostens, by going with Tiffany. You will notice that no two Tiffany rings are identical (or similar). They start from scratch with every one of their team rings. Then after shaking up Jostens, perhaps they learned their lesson because after Tiffany did the Bus XXXVII ring, Jostens made spectacular but very different, mold-breaking New England Patriots rings for Superbowl's XXXVIII and XXXIX. Again, just a theory, but if I'm wrong that's quite a coincidence that Josten's changed up the rings so dramatically. You're right. now that i think about it all of those rings I mentioned as well as the cowboys and steelers rings you pictured are all made by jostens. i cant really think of any repeat pro rings in recent history by Balfor or Tiffany & Co. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that jostens makes so many rings for college, high school, pros, semi-pros each year that they get overwhelmed sometimes and just fall back on old designs to pitch to teams. Could be laziness too, or they just want their new designs to show up on multiple sports teams... who knows. interesting thought though. P.S. I'd love to see what your complete collection looks like. how many rings do you own?
  9. Yea your right! They are the same design template. I've notice that with a lot of rings in recent years. They all kind of use the same design as previous champion teams. For example, the design the broncos used for their second ring was followed up by the rams, patriots, ravens, titans AFC, and Falcons NFC rings. The Panthers, Eagles, Seahawks, Cardinals and patriots all had pretty much the exact same conference rings too. It carries over with other sports as well. MLB Florida Marlins, NHL Chicago Blackhawks, and NBA Dallas Maverics all used very similar designs for their most recent championships. I love the look of all of those rings tho. They were simple yet flashy and big.
  10. Being a steelers fan, I really hope you find those rings. The Super Bowl XIII ring is my favorite. I can't help but ask why you want those specific rings so bad. Do you have the other 4 steelers rings?
  11. Hey sports-rings, any interest in expanding your site to show NHL, NBA, and MLB rings too? I love the Super Bowl ring section. The NHL and NBA have some really nice gaudy rings that would look great with their own sections as well. Just a thought I had as maybe a project if you were bored one day lol. Great job with your site!
  12. He quoted me at $300 each. still a lot for a bedazzled piece of foam, but i gotta hand it to him he does a great job hand making each one.
  13. Nice story. I found this guy a while back on Facebook and messaged him to see how Much a ring hat costs. They aren't that cheap, but he does a great job replicating them.
  14. hey Sports-Rings, on the section of your website where you have images of each super bowl ring i noticed something. The '77 Cowboys ring has 2 black stars with blue gems on the face. Isn't it blue stars with 2 diamonds?
  15. The ring on the left is a fan ring made by that same bingringbling.com website from China.
  16. After winning MVP of Super Bowl 43, Santonio Holms said they engraved MVP on the inside of his ring. His obviously is unique in that sense
  17. And the one in the middle is for being conference champions
  18. When do you suppose they will reveal the Cardinals ring?
  19. Jostens better get ready to make another UCONN ring baby!!!!
  20. I like the idea of an MVP ring. Def some bragging rights. You get a trophy in the NBA, and NHL. NFL gives you a car and now MLB gives you a ring. Bragging rights right there.
  21. I think it's better than the two previous rings. Seems as though MLB rings are the least "blinged out" of all the major sports. (With the exception of the Marlins huge ring.) NHL and NBA rings seem to be the biggest and have more diamonds than NFL rings now
  22. Worth noting is how the bengals used the same design template for the first ring as the steelers used for their SB XIV ring. The steelers then used the same design template for their AFC ring from SB XXX as the bengals did for their second ring.
  23. Linda, you work for that website. i dealt with you when i ordered my rings... so weird how you've infiltrated the thread
