I know it’s not a popular opinion but the Purple and Black combo just works for the Ravens. Stripes would improve it for sure but it looks better than white pants

I wonder why the Bombers went with the whites every year for four years straight, regardless of whether the Grey Cup was in the East or West?
2019 they were road for all their playoff games
2021 they were the road team
2022 they won the previous two in white
2023 they were the road team

It’s a shame Seattle isn’t going to go throwbacks

I hope Montreal goes Red for the Grey Cup. They look sharp with the Navy Socks

Honestly, these wouldn’t look awful with blue socks

Edmonton bringing back the white pants. Used to occasionally wear them in the 2000’s

I feel like they are missing more than hitting. Like some teams they will absolutely hit on some things but also miss on some other things.Edmonton’s white numbers on the home come to mind.
Toronto is definitely a downgrade and all they seem to do is just mess up their branding.
the insistence of these colour rush uniforms is also kinda bland. New Era has no concept of how to use pants effectively. Like using the blue pants for the Bombers home and away is the biggest example.
Montreal could benefit greatly from using navy pants on that new Alt with red socks. BC’s pants need to swap on their sets. Toronto needs to add navy pants and ditch the white ones.
Saskatchewan is practically the only team to not be touched by New Era and their odd concepts.
Calgary is almost a win? Add Ottawa to that as well. Two out of three uniforms that are good or great and one that is lacking. For Calgary it’s their new home and away that are great and the use of contrasting pants and retro elements were fantastic. Wish they kept the retro logo on the sleeves.
Ottawa just needs a better home and I think they are solid and love the use of plaid and colour on the away. And the Alt is serviceable for what they need it to do. Would love a Rough Riders retro though.
but overall, they could do better. And New Era along with Adidas need to do some sort of league wide thing. Like Reebok was so good, honestly yes the initial 2005 roll out was rocky but they recovered with cool initiatives like the retro weeks and the 2012 redesigns were cool too.
The teams generally decide what pants to wear. It’s not New Era telling them they have to go mono

Only if they can opt to use the RR in the playoffs; because their alternate is a dark jersey, so even if they wear that they still won't go white at home.
Plus, I feel like the league wouldn't be thrilled with the idea of having a team in the most visible part of the season completely bucking their uniform ruleset. You can assign alternates to be your home jersey in the playoffs, but there's also a reason teams only do it with colored alts and not white ones.
They could just wear their normal road uniform?

Will Winnipeg finally wear WAH this year?

Probably could turn this into a 2023 thread
Looks like Calgary is going white face masks. It’s a good look. Hoping the bumpers and chinstrap are also changed by May however

Maybe it's because of the CFL fan in me and seeing way more relaxed jersey rules, I think the NFL letting more people wear different numbers is fine and not a crazy concept. CFL basically has no numbering rules, besides two criteria for players on the offence.
There was a period in the 90s where the Stampeders quarterback was #20 (Flutie) and one the fan favourite receivers was #25.
Ronnie Lancaster has his number (#23) retired and he was QB. I agree I see no issue with it. Along with the potential jersey ads, its fun to watch everyone panic over changes that will be seen as normal in a decade

Agreed. However, if it was me, the Eagles endzone should be black with green text plus silver trim; while the Chiefs should be yellow with red text plus white trim. Although I won't mind if the Eagles silver endzone would have a white trim around its green text.
Would probably need to do a Rose Bowl style grass border too so that there's contrast between the sideline and endzone

Oh god, these have the potential to be awful. The average fan does not know what looks good for a football uniform
