NBA teams need to bring back some color variations on arm sleeves/accessories:

Getting real tired of the "rolled up waistband" look. Can the multibillion dollar sports league let these guys tailor their short length to their liking? It looks terrible

  2. Rockets are calling this logo the "dunkstronaut". Lot of potential here for an official secondary logo one day. They need to drop the R ... there is just so much potential behind a space/earth/rocket logo.spacer.png

I was a little offended by the shade of blue (very Clippers like), but they are staying true to the old UH uniforms:

  3. Portland, Chicago, Toronto, and Houston are all starting to look wayyyy too similar at a glance with their identical color red/black/white schemes. Because Portland and Chicago have a longer history with red and black, I think its on Toronto and Houston to switch things up. You could even throw Atlanta into this mix.

  4. Going on year 14 of the Rockets refusing to implement a unique number font. They’re still using the Pacers identity from 06-17, which they switched to when Adidas introduced rev30 fabric for the 2010-11 season. Find me a more subtle NBA uniform oddity.

Seeing the fan shirts the Nuggets had laid out for Game 1 had me thinking -- what if they adopted more of an Avalanche-esque color scheme?

Underutilized color scheme in sports for sure.

This was also giving me an aneurysm but glad there's an explanation. Little weird because for decades teams only had one court so I'm curious what the repairs are for? Or maybe teams used to have a backup court...

Man I hate what NBA jerseys have become. I’m watching the Lakers/Warriors game and you can barely tell who’s who.

Lakers playing in their white/blue/yellow Minneapolis retro jerseys & Golden State playing in black jerseys and a black court at home lmao.

And this isn’t coming from a “old man yells at cloud perspective” either. I’m only 26 and grew up watching the NBA in the 2010’s to now.

same feeling with bucks in black uniforms with an all blue court tonight...  cant remember the last time teams just wore their traditional road/home uniforms on a normal court.

  8. Today I learned that the San Diego Rockets and Seattle Supersonics shared the exact same color scheme from 1967-1971. Interestingly enough, both were 1967 expansion teams. Incredibly weird choice by the NBA to let this happen. Wonder what the story was behind each team picking green & yellow.

  9. The Houston Rockets are wearing throwback uniforms in honor of their short lived time as the San Diego Rockets (1967-1971):

You might think, these are awfully similar colors to the green and yellow Seattle Supersonics. Interestingly enough, the Supersonics were also an expansion team in 1967. I thought this was highly unusual that two expansion teams had the exact same color scheme. On top of that... both teams being in the West, both cities starting with the letter S, I'm honestly surprised the NBA let this happen.

They only shared colors for 4 years, as the Rockets moved to Houston and switched from green to red. My question is, can anyone think of any other time in sports history where two expansion teams were created the same year with the same color scheme? I couldn't find any other information regarding the shared colors between the Rockets and Sonics.

  10. I wonder if the NBA is going to do anything about the length of shorts. I've noticed a lot of younger players are rolling the waistband down - It's a really bad look since you can see the tag on the back... short shorts are back!
