  1. I don't like when logos are repeated on football uniforms. As in the same logo is on the helmet, jersey sleeves, and sometimes pants. Examples include Panthers, Eagles, Clemson, etc

The Eagles have wings on their helmets...I dont think the eagle head is anywhere else on their uniforms.

Right. They've never gone double logo

  2. I forgot to add that since the seasons would go through winters, every team would need to either build an indoor stadium, or play all of their winter games at the ultra-mega-super domed stadium complex that the league would construct in Des Moines. I'm thinking a huge structure that has enough fields in it that at least 15 games could be played at the same time. The seating would be all around, so if your team was playing on one of the inner fields, you wouldn't be able to see too well, but there would be an app so you could watch the action on your mobile device in the comfort of your stadium seat. I'm imaging this like 5x bigger than the biggest nascar track, and the individual baseball fields would be separated by walls on the inside. Each field would have a unique configuration, so one might have a "green monster", one might have bizarre angles, and a few would be elevated so if you fall over the divider wall making a play, you would fall right in to the field of another game that's going on.

One more thing - since most players would probably be not respond well to the intense heat while playing in the sun, there would be a series of special drafts throughout the season where teams can draft extra players from other teams rosters and "sacrifice" them so as to protect their stars from almost certain incineration.

    "Is this heaven?"

    "No it's Iowa"

  3. I'd probably put a team or three in London, one in Pyongyong, two or three on the moon, and one smack in the middle of the sun.

Expand the season to 200 games, but build in extra travel days so teams can travel to these new locations, so the season would probably take 400 days or so. Since it would span more than one earth year, it wouldn't be able to start and stop at the same time anymore, so it would always be staggered, so the first season under this format would start in April 2018 and the Worlds series would be in May 2019, then the next season would start September 2019 and end in October 2020, and so on.

They wouldn't be able to refer to seasons by year anymore, so each season would get a name. It could be named after world leaders, or former players, or they could even sell the naming rights. So season 1 under this format could be the Sanders Season, season two could be the Griffey Season, season three could be the JVC Kaboom Box Season, and so on and so forth.

    Campbell and Wales seasons

  4. I figured I would post this because any good quality photos from the 1994 season is a rarity itself. Here we have the Raiders and Broncos in throwbacks. This whole scenario is weird for a variety of reasons.

Damn this is a beauty of a picture. Referee with a jeff cap, 2 beautiful uniforms, Dirt infield, And some serious neck pad action.

  5. This is actually the first and last time you ever see this.

Now it's Burgundy and Yellow Gold vs Scarlet Red and Pewter. Plus it took til 1994 for these two to actually face each other. Now I am used to the Saints vs Buccaneers because they play a lot even when they were not in the same division.

    What's rare about this

  6. The Chargers are the worst that they've ever looked, but I don't think they look that bad at all

I actually think that's pretty popular (around here, anyway). Actually, my unpopular opinion would be that their current look is the best they've ever looked.

The second half was the unpopular part. People say they look downright atrocious, but i don't think so

  7. ^ On another note, where the heck are they playing at in that Jets/Giants game? Because by the time Giants Stadium went to grass (for a few seasons) in 2000, the Giants introduced their retro look....

    this is a great question

Edit: I found an actual 1999 regular season game photo. I also found out that they met in '96, '99, '03 in that order, which seemingly makes the above picture impossible. Im confused.

A temporary grass field was used this summer for soccer games and for preseason football games, but it was removed after the Kickoff Classic college game on Aug. 29. On three consecutive days the grass field had been used for the college teams' practices, the Jets-Giants exhibition game and the Kickoff Classic.

The grass field received rave reviews from players and from Giants Coach Jim Fassel. Management for both the Giants and the MetroStars once again supported making it a year-round field.
Gutman said last month that the Jets did not yet have enough information to make a decision on grass for the 2000 season. Parcells added, ''Someone has got to convince me you can play 26 games on grass in one year.''
Between 16 Jets and Giants regular-season home games, 4 preseason games and college and high school games, Giants Stadium can play host to as many as 25 football games a year, plus other events, like concerts and marching band competitions.

  9. Here's one: Patriots at Cardinals, 2004. It was the last year before the modern uniforms for the Cardinals and the only time their classic uniforms met the modern Patriots.

Those empty seats up top sum up the cardinals before the move to the new stadium.

That looks like a decently filled stadium
