It's important to remember that these are the baseball Browns in which during their time in St. Louis had a statue of King Louie on their logo, so it's very plausible to consider had the Browns not moved to Baltimore and went somewhere else that they would've had a logo that fits their new home city identity.

III - A ROYAL MAKEOVER This logo set imagines a world where baseball owner Ewing Kauffman either purchases the Kansas City Athletics from Charlie O'Finley back in the late 1960s or if in 1968, Kansas City's "name-the-team" contest for the expansion franchise gifted by Major League Baseball after A's departed for Oakland had the name "Cowboys" win the contest instead of "Royals". There were reportedly 17,000 entries registered in Kansas City's naming contest; the nickname "Royals" won as they were named after the American Royal horseracing company, The only other name to have reportedly been considered in that naming contest was "Mules". The wordmarks were provided by @teeray01 once again, and I will begin compiling a slide full of unused logos in this thread. II - A TRUE HOMAGE The main baseball mascot now has his bandana removed and is now smirking, which I wanted to resemble the smiling Orioles logo or smiling King Louie from SFGiants58's St. Louis Browns concept, the wordmarks and script logos have the same font as the modern set but are much more simplified and contemporary. I didn't really need to change the insignia from the modern set, because those already look like they'd fit in pretty good. I'm curious to see how you think we did on this logo set, and I think Teeray01 might be working on uniforms for this as well.

Yeah, I kinda didn't notice that at first, but if you do examine it closely it is a slightly darker shade of brown than the rest of the design The wordmark/script logo files that @teeray01 sent me just so happened to include Royals wordmarks, and I needed a road script logo badly so I decided to use one of those from the .svg file Hmm, I could've gone with black and red but I just didn't want it to be blue (cause that's the Royals color scheme), and I don't know if the colors I chose are too similar to the Padres, the yellow in this concept is way lighter than the Padres. So I'm making the argument that the colors are different enough that people shouldn't confuse them

I've also made a mini-graphic comparing this KC Cowboys concept to the other Kansas City teams that were in the MLB: The Defunct Saga thread, I think we almost have a complete collection, I've also done some more research there are 5 other Kansas City baseball teams. The Kansas City Giants, Kansas City Maroons, Kansas City Packers, Kansas City Royal Giants, and Kansas City Blue Stockings.

I've decided to compile all my logo assets into a homage of SFGiants58's MLB: The Defunct Saga series showing off the logos for a revived Kansas City Cowboys franchise. NOTE: I really really tried to do uniforms, but I am a total Inkscape noob, So I didn't want stress myself out on uniforms for a passion project, maybe if anyone else here is willing to do uniforms for this concept, that would be spectacular.
