Even if Miller's rants had little to do with the action on the field?

I think that was ABC back in 2000, the same year they put Dennis Miller in the broadcast booth.
I would take MNFs 2000 booth over todays

What was the first network to do the headshots at the beginning of the game where the players say “First Name Last Name, University”?
What year did they start doing that?

Expansion in any of the big 4 teams is delusional. Contraction would benefit them all.

I guess I’m an unreasonable person then. I was born in 1990, so my first memories of John Elway are in that uniform. Any other photos/highlights immediately go to my mind as “early in his career.”
I think this helps the point that BBTV made. You were 7 when they changed to the modern uniforms, which might be the perfect age for someone to associate Elway with them. I think anyone that remembers most or all of his career would associate him with the Orange Crush, whereas you only have a couple years memory of Elway in those unis, im assuming this since most people cant really remember much before 5 years old

Houston really needs to wear those pajama kits, and soon. 90s nostalgia is definitely in, and Nike would make a killing re-selling those old jerseys.
I think 90s nostalgia is actually getting really tired. Its been in for 10 years now and I think people might get over it soon

To be fair, Bell will never be associated with the uniforms in his photoshops and Machado (as mentioned) will only wear that for one season. Harper and the new Jets uniforms are a different story, though.
Yeah the ones where its clear that he could only possibly wear it for one season make sense. But I think this thread has run its course

Both of these two are young and have the majority of their careers left, barring an unexpected trade or tragic injury, they’ll both spend most of their career in these
Seriously, this thread has become “active players that just changed uniforms yesterday”

I had to look it up, but per Uni Watch this is from the early 1960s.
It could be anywhere 1962-65. I dont see any hard evidence to narrow it down. Only thing I could say is probably closer to 65, because the mid 60s is when picture quality really made quite a jump.
In retrospect, the 60s were a weird transitional era in film/footage. You look at 1963 and before (Think JFK death news footage) and they were still living in the 50s. Then look at news from 1967 covering the Vietnam War. Its insane that they were 4 years apart because it just looks like a whole different world.
Wow this took a random direction.

Two different sports, same state, same color scheme (relatively), same colored alternate jersey.
I love the Patriots red alternate throwback uniforms, but hate the Red Sox red alternate jerseys.
I dont think Red Sox should wear colored jerseys at all. They should be a white/gray team strictly

I feel the same way about a lot of Uni Watch ticker posts.
