  1. The Memphis concept is far superior to the real-life 2023 version, especially with bringing back the 80s (a.k.a. the right) colors for the 'Boats. As for Pittsburgh, adding gray does make it a bit less Steelers-ish, still wish the 2023 real-life Maulers kept the purple and orange!
  2. I'm hoping for a return of the Bandits as well. Not sure what Team 10 would be though...
  3. Nice work on the first two, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if one or both of these eventually made it into your USFL alt history simulation by the time you got to present day
  4. Liking the work done so far on this, looking forward to seeing the final three teams in this concept and any potential expansion teams
  5. As much as I would like to have this alternate history happen sans COVID, I agree that since 9/11 and Katrina impacted the USFL here, COVID will inevitably have an impact as well. I don't see the USFL cancelling the 2020 season entirely like the CFL did (although I wouldn't totally discount the possibility), but I'm thinking it'll be either a shortened season or a delayed start in late June/early July that would ultimately run into the NFL season if they play a full 14-game schedule with playoffs.
  6. Most likely to (potentially) relocate: New Orleans Breakers, due to the unsettled ownership situation post-Katrina, perhaps the new owner, whoever it is, will uproot them without a thought Other possibilities: Oakland Invaders, Las Vegas Thunder, Birmingham Stallions (all due to stadium/market situations)
  7. I'm guessing perhaps the 2020 Dallas Renegades logo would make its way into the Texas Outlaws in some capacity, as well as the Seattle Dragons morphing into the 2023 XFL logo in some way as well
  8. I think this one's a winner!
  9. I'd say between those options, Version 2 looks better, but a re-colored London Monarchs crown would work as well IMO
  10. Of the three options I'm most impressed with the Charlotte Monarchs pitch; the color scheme and the design work very well with the NFL Europe and AAF elements mixed together in the logo
  11. I was thinking the same thing, the eagle head is similar to the St. Louis Skyhawks logo
  12. For me it's either Grizzlies or Stags, but I'm leaning towards the latter, the colors work very well with the Edmonton Elks logo
  13. Based on what others have said about this logo, I think it would work without the orange "turkey" portion and be just fine with the bear alone
  14. There's at least a borderline case for them to make on it, it could be similar enough based on the puma head
  15. I think I'm sure where Option #2 is coming from...not going to jinx it, but I'm sure I know what it'll be
  16. Looks like the link did change, here it is: https://apsbertsche.wixsite.com/mysite/atlanta-poll
  17. @WideRight when will we see the fields for the Pacific Division teams?
  18. St. Louis - Nighthawks (cross between old Knights name in the simulated USFL and XFL 2.0/3.0 BattleHawks) Portland - Breakers (if New Orleans is forced to move due to Katrina), Storm (in reference to 1974 WFL team) Dallas - Roughnecks (XFL 2.0/3.0 Houston Roughnecks) Miami - Manatees (proposed CFL team), Barracudas (CFL Birmingham Barracudas), Tropics (SFL 2000) Charlotte/Raleigh (Carolina) - Monarchs (WLAF London Monarchs) Virginia - Destroyers (UFL) Minnesota - Blue Ox (Roller Hockey team from the 1990s) Kansas City - Commanders (AAF San Antonio Commanders, reference to Arena League's Kansas City Command)
  19. I thought of that as a possibility, especially with the Breakers ending up in Portland in reality; perhaps Katrina would force this universe's Breakers out of New Orleans, and with Portland having lost the Thunder, maybe they could entice the Breakers to move there
  20. In this universe Trump bailed out in the 1980s after the USFL stayed in the spring
  21. Looking forward to how the expansion and relocations play out, plenty to think about here for the participation element when it comes around
  22. Las Vegas Outlaws (XFL 1.0) I hope to see in this at some point Also the USFL 2022 Birmingham Stallions
  23. I wasn't sold on the Cannons name as an option during the voting process, but I am now once I saw the uniforms; really nice work on the numbers
  24. I'm in agreement with the 1-day change for the proposed Texas Outlaws logo; the blowback would be too severe for the team to take it any further
  25. As of now Cannons is up by nine votes on Colonials, but yeah a big surge for both of them, Commanders is a distant third, yesterday it was around 100 total votes, now it's at 246 votes across all three choices
