Jets already beat them in blue pants, but I guess this has become an aesthetic preference at this point rather than superstition. Still no throwback or Color Rush with just two home games left.

To me this means they plan on not wearing one of their alts this year. If they do throwbacks for Miami instead of color rush, I wonder if its in preparation for debuting a red helmet w/ the color rush next season.

Since the NFL has said they will be honoring John Madden on Thanksgiving, we already know the Cowboys are rolling out their throwbacks, I'd like to see the Bills, Lions and Giants do the same.

The Bills only have 3 home games left & have yet to wear any of their alternates. It wouldn’t shock me to see them wear throwbacks on the road for thanksgiving and/or the week after @ New England with the Pat Patriot confirmed for NE that game.

Would've been some nice bright colors in the Buffalo snow. I hate when games get moved to neutral sites like this. Brown could end up going 12 years without playing at Buffalo.

Would probably be their record for longest stretch in not hosting an AFC team. Last year was their first time hosting the Falcons since 2005 I'd assume that is their all time longest record in the modern era. They haven't hosted the Seahawks with fans being able to attend since 2008 & probably won't until 2028. The reason for most of those is due to their 5 year stretch giving a game to Toronto

  4. This just dawned on me regarding the Sabres RR uniform: The reason there is no shoulder yoke on the jersey is because it is NOT a “reverse” of the 96 white uniform, it is a “reverse” of the 96 black uniform. Therefore, I would expect an ALL-WHITE uniform (pants, gloves, etc) because the white is replacing black

Yeah, since the Sabres' RR is white they could be wearing it against the opponent's RR in almost every case, but they probably won't.

Actually, reading the Sabres press release just now, they say that Pittsburgh WILL be wearing their RR's on the 11/2 so maybe pitt just forgot it in their tweet?

Seems silly that the Sabres plan on wearing their RR on the road for several games, but they're not going to wear it at Washington on 1/3 when they'll be wearing their RRs.

Weird too that the NHL is marketing the Nov 2 PIT @ BUF game as a "reverse retro night" but Pittsburgh isn't scheduled to wear theirs.

A shoulder yoke, like they used on the original white goathead jersey, would have helped with that.

I agree, but I still think all that extra white inside the logo on top of a white backdrop is too much white. It might stand out more if it was blue.

  8. Interesting tidbit from the Ducks press release:

This season's adidas Reverse Retro 2022 ADIZERO jerseys combine some of the most remarkable designs yet - including some colors never seen before on ice. All teams will wear the new jerseys during the 2022-23 NHL® season beginning in November, including a number of adidas Reverse Retro matchup nights, led by the Nov. 2 Pittsburgh Penguins-Buffalo Sabres game at 7:30 p.m. ET on TNT.

I understand that they are only using the current colors for the Sabres which doesn’t include grey/silver, but if they weren’t going to use it I wish they picked blue as the base. I think it wouldn’t look as bland but maybe not idk

Glad they kept the red eye, tho!

And they're not wearing it against the Habs, Bruins or Maple Leafs either. In fact they only wear it against one old North East division rival, the Sens

I wonder who decides these things. Makes no sense to me, even looking at the calendar, it's not like they just picked weekend games or anything. It just feels completely random. Oh well. Still pretty cool that they're bringing it back

W/ the exception of the Caps & Rangers, they're wearing them vs un-popular teams so its clearly to help sell tickets. Only other exception is the Blues game which is the day before thanksgiving, which is annually one of the most in-demand home games.  I'd imagine the RR jersey games will be scheduled similarly. The Sabres also picked a few games last season to wear their white away unis at home but I'm not sure they will fell the need to do that this season
