It's pretty funny that after 25 years the Sabres finally listened to fans and went back to the royal & gold, but now that they've announced a black & red alternate/throwback suddenly there are fans saying "bring it back full time". I honestly won't be surprised if in another 10-15 years we get a Buffaslug throwback.

I think it might be closer to 10-15 weeks, I still think it will be the reverse retro regardless of what those leaked t-shirts showed.

one could infer from these that the bills throwback games will be home vs Miami & @ the lions on thanksgiving but if I remember correctly, they did these last year and had the throwback game vs New England & that wasn’t the case so take it with a grain of salt

  3. Predicting the Bills, I won't go game by game because I don't think they are going to tinker with the jersey/pant combos that much this year.

Week 1: Bills in Blue/White with the Rams in their superbowl look

Week 2: Bills in all white for their home opener monday night vs the Titans (in probably all navy)

Week 3: Bills back to Blue/White in Miami with the Dolphins in white

Week 11: Throwbacks at home vs the Browns (Brown/White)

Week 12: Throwbacks stay in Detroit for Thanksgiving with the Lions also in throwbacks (would make Ralph Wilson happy)

Week 15: Red color rush at home vs Miami

  4. Based on all of the pictures and video I’ve seen of them being worn on the ice yesterday, the weird dis-colored white spots underneath the arms of the Sabres Heritage Classic jerseys do not seem to be there like they were in the original promo photos. Must have just been an error in that one or maybe they fixed it?

  5. Yes I don't think these jerseys are real. When athletes do autograph signings they will get cheap unlicensed jerseys to sign that don't have any logos on them (team, league, or manufacturer) so they can sell them for less than authentic Nikes.  None of the images seem to have any Rams or Nike logos visible. How this random memorabilia company he's signing for would get their hands on multiple un-released  jerseys for him to sign makes no sense. I can't find any examples of knock off bone jerseys that companies use for autographs so these are probably the first ones.

It says 'can' be paired, not 'must' be paired. Those are two entirely different words.

"This alternate color helmet MUST ONLY be worn together with one of the club's authorized optional uniforms (Classic, Alternate, and/or Color Rush)." That to me means it can't be worn with standard home/road sets.

More details here. One that stands out is that the new helmet must be paired with an alternate uniform.  I was kind of hoping that a team could have different color helmets that they could interchange with their home and road sets like college.

I like this Bills move as I’m not into the gray masks when it’s not in the colors. Now the throwback look will look proper and the current look will as well. Would have preferred a blue mask, but white is better than gray and comparing to college, most teams go with the white mask on the white helmet...cause it’s icy or clean as opposed to fire. I think fire refers to a solid color monochrome. Hope it inspires the colts, lions, niners go back to color too.

If I had to guess I'd say that they will still use grey facemasks for the throwbacks, this is more for the home/road/color-rush sets

  9. I can see a lot of teams being way more inclined to add/replace alternates or even full overhauls as a way to make up some of the lack of ticket revenue this year. Maybe even a league wide thing similar to NBA city or NHL reverse retro if the league sees if those sell well or not. As a Bills fan it wouldn't shock me at all to see them either getting a new alternate or even a whole new home/road set. The demand for Bills jerseys is super high right now in Buffalo and I guess Allen jerseys were pretty much sold out everywhere during Christmas and are still hard to find. The Sabres just did a whole new re-brand which appear to be selling well and they're terrible, wouldn't surprise me at all for the Pegulas to think they could make even more money if they did the same with the Bills. I know locally fans have been clamoring for the return to red helmets.
