I had it in SVG format, with the background, shadow and jersey all seperate layers. I'm just unsure of how to change the colour of the jersey without using an overlay (which will remove some of the jersey's texture).

I'm still not sure about why would you open a raster image (not a vector) with a vector editor.  Placing a raster image inside an SVG file doesn't make it automatically vector, so you can't edit its colour. What can be done in this case (for a low-quality result) is to create a new colour layer and trace the outline of the shirt, then put this layer behind the jersey texture and change the blending mode of the texture accordingly.

Still, to work with images like that, I recommend Photoshop or another editor that works with raster instead of vector. Mind to share this file via DM for me to give a look?

SVG is a vector format, and this one looks like a photo for me. If you want to use this in Inkscape, Illustrator or any vector software, you'll need to trace it first.

Any basketball template recommendations for a novice?

I usually use Inkscape - I'm not very good on GIMP - but I was thinking that a basketball template would be a good place to start.

    Thanks.

I made this two years ago. As simple as it gets. It is supposed to be a SVG (but is showing properly. How weird.)latest?cb=20181230002205&path-prefix=pt-

  4. The concept itself is pretty good, especially the away jersey with the "music vibes". Is great to see a well-thought concept on these boards.

Maybe this is me being sexist, but I think this isn't different of a male jersey. Have you thought about make the uniform more fitting? Shorter sleeves and thinner waistline would be a good start, just like Nike does.

Last but not least, I'd make the "North Carolina" part in the fauxback white instead of red, just for contrast's sake.

  5. I really can not say why but how have I never seen this topic before? Oh my God, that's wonderful! The care with the details, the logos are wonderful, the uniforms of an unbeatable realism, even the sponsors at the local level. I am completely in love with Olympique Nantais. Please continue the wonderful work!

  6. I am gonna be working on a soccer league made up of the best players in the world, with teams being based on their zodiac signs. A friend of mine gave me the idea today and I figured I'd go for it!

They had a Zodiac League in PES 6, with teams like Scorpio FC Unknown.png
