If that is official, I wonder who would be that potential 12th member school. If it would be SFA or Tarleton or EKU next in line. Before 2023, C-USA had a presence in Texas with many schools (like 3-4), now it has one with Sam Houston.

I thought I heard that UT Arlington was adding football? Would fit perfectly, was in the Sun Belt but did not have football at the time so it & UALR left. But C USA would be a great fit for them.

yep from April. 1st hurdle cleared.

Bob Huggins has resigned as head coach at West Virginia.  Huggins was arrested in Pittsburgh for DUI on Friday. He was already on thin ice. This comes just over month after he said a homophobic slur on Cincinnati radio. He was suspended for the first three games, received a pay cut and his contract changed from a multi year agreement to a year by year agreement.  Huggins was arrested for a DUI in 2004 in Cincinnati as well. He was forced out of University of Cincinnati a year later.

even if it’s only for one year they would be stupid not to ask john beilein if he’s bored and wants to coach D1 again.

Hard disagree. The Twins reestablished themselves as a navy primary team with this rebrand (although a few of the players wear red arm sleeves anyway).

That setup should go to Cleveland, who has precedent for such a look in the past (with red socks):

I miss when Cleveland was more red-heavy, it felt fitting & was a nice callback to the 90’s.

Let’s me real the twins should of never dropped gold. Made them a different them then the other R/W/B teams.

Note in the article that it appears the NCAA would be willing to recognize that conference as an FBS one...the only problem is that nobody seems to know what the procedure is to admit an entire new FBS conference these days (it hasn't happened since the Mountain West started in '99).

If that conference does happen, something tells me that Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State and Sam Houston's coming stays in C-USA could be short ones.

And finally, if that conference gets approved, it means we get even MOAR bowl games (a big conference is gonna need tie-ins, you know)...

Good point about the 3 cusa schools. Would NMSU & Liberty also jump back “home”?

If the Green Wave's momentum keeps up for the next season or two, I could honestly see Tulane be a target for expansion-hungry Power Five conferences the way SMU and Memphis are expected to be.

Add all 3 & USF to the Big 12 and call it a day.

    About those pro-am tournaments:

Skinny tall dudes with foot damage is bad news in the NBA

I was never sold on him, he just looked fragile and skinny. Needs to bulk up more or this will keep happing.

That new color scheme is gorgeous and the new blue makes way more sense than red

No if anything removing navy for light blue would of been the better move, cause after all there in the “USC” system so garnet would of made sense to keep. Look at the UT(Texas) system or other states like Tennessee or cal. They keep one color to tie in most of the schools. Not all state systems do this I get it.

  8. I think the CAA is trying to box in the socon, Campbell would of fit in nicely there but now the CAA scooped them up. I’ve heard they are trying to be on (somewhat) even level of the A-10 & almost near the big east. I’m surprised the socon has not tried to poach  Kennesaw St. form the a-sun. It be a good fit with Mercer as a travel partner, while we are at it maybe add on North Alabama in a few years. Good fit in between Samford & Chattanooga.

This is another reason I get scared whenever I hear about the Preds' on-and-off proposed new minor league arena in Clarksville...because I worry that MKE might lose the Admirals (or that they'd be relegated to the ECHL)

Could MKE maybe get a nhl expansion team? I mean there is a new arena there. it’s kinda baffling they don't already cause I think of them and Minnesota as states that are perfect hockey states.

The Budweiser Terrace in right field at Busch has the best food at the ballpark. Can’t remember the name of the stand but it has a grill with shrimp skewers and sausage. It’s good food and great bang for your buck for ballpark food.

Parking: there are some cheap parking lots about a block south of the home plate entrance, used to be $10 I think? You’ve gotta get there early because they fill up fast.

I haven’t had a chance to see the latest additions/updates to Ballpark Village, but if you’ve got time to kill or are in town for a few days it’s a fun place to watch the game if you don’t have tickets.

Well I’m staying across the river in ESTL so the stadium is a ten min drive if that so I’m not gonna even bother to buy parking I can Uber there before the game and check out the village.  Also looking at this place on the village called “salt & smoke” seems like the winner for dinning.

  11. So I figured this would be a good topic to help out the newbies who are going to there 1st game at a place where others have been and can maybe give tips and info on it to make the experience as amazing as can be. So here goes…

    Going to my 1st:

St Louis cards game (September 14th)

    Kansas State game (September 17th)

    Brewers game (September 19th)

Hope to get some good tips. I know there’s a bunch of STL fans here & MKE as well.

At this point I feel either this guy has to reveal his “sources” to the mod team or just be banned. He’s not adding anything but BS just to get a rise out of people.

    I’ll 2nd this.

Broncos are moving to monochrome blue full time this season. Don't ask how I know, I won't tell you. Orange color rush remains and orange alts as well. They are getting a throwback next year. The move was spearheaded by Russell Wilson.

If you don't believe me just look what color pants the team is wearing in practice.

I'll probably be banned for posting without proof so when the official announcement comes down I'll see you on the other side.

If you have to say “don’t ask me how I know, I won’t tell you” means you’re not legit. Just like saying “trust me I know there getting a new uniform ” your “proof” to back this claim up is got more holes in it the Swiss cheese, so maybe you should tell us “how you know”. Yes I’m calling you’re bluff sucker.

  14. Well I’ll put it this way to make is really easy to see why nbc did this:

    USA is in 90million households

    NBCSN is in 81 million

FS1 is in about 83 million

    CBSSN is in 68 million

ESPN is in (only? I figured more) 86 million

so there getting more eyeballs to watch by default.
