No CyberRays coming to teh NWSL. At least it's better than "Bay FC."
The club is being promoted as 9 counties, 8 bridges, 1 Bay. Might have been better to call them Bay Area United FC.

I think the USFL & XFL both play one more season in 2024 and then fold.

Miami owns Boston this year. Celtics & Bruins eliminated by Heat & Panthers this post season plus Dolphins beat out Patriots for one of the final playoff spots this past NFL season.

Something random: Denver could play Miami in the NBA finals 30 years (1993) after both cities' MLB franchises began play (Rockies & Marlins).

Bettman must be getting nightly visits from Jerry Colangelo's ghost threatening to possess the Damian Thorne wannabe if he doesn't keep the Yotes in Arizona.
-
Looks like Super Bowl 60 or LX will be in Santa Clara in 2026. Never thought they would go there again (SB50).

Bettman wanted to turn the NHL into the NBA. That's where he cut his teeth.

Honestly, the NHL shouldn't have expanded to 32 until the Arizona situation was solved. It would have been much easier to sell/move the Coyotes to Vegas or Seattle and then expand. Now if the Coyotes leave for Quebec, Houston, SLC, etc., etc. the situation is more hasty than if the NHL opened up an expansion bid process.
MLB is smart in waiting to expand until Tampa and Oakland are figured out.
Good idea in theory but you know the greedy owners prefer that sweet expansion money.

It's almost like FIFA doesn't want us to know that the World Cup will be North America. Can't imagine why they would feel this way?

Is there any interest for a second Bay Area franchise, like in San Francisco at the Chase Center? Or is it even suitable for hockey?
Chase isn't suitable for hockey and one team in the Bay Area is enough.

I don't think Golden 1 Center in Sacramento has a hockey set up.

I wouldn't be surprised if Salt Lake City is on the radar even with the seating issues at Vivint Arena. Billionaire Jazz owner Ryan Smith has had interest in hockey.

Doesn't Salt Lake City have the seating issue with the one side folded in like Brooklyn & the Suns arena?
