I read somewhere that Dave Kaval said he has permission from MLB that the Aviators will stay in Vegas alongside the A's and not have to relocate.

I believe A's owner John Fisher owns part of the Coliseum property. That's going to be fun negotiations. He'll probably let it rot for 10 years.

The A's triple-A team, the Aviators play right there in Sumerlin. Vegas baseball fans should have a tiny bit of familiarity with the A's.
-
The city of Oakland and the Bay Area in general have a whole lot more to deal with than sports teams staying or leaving. Not to get to political but it's becoming a dangerous place.
-
It won't really matter because 30 years from now Vegas will be swallowed up by the desert sands.

When the Tempe vote fails, Bettman needs to just give it up. Houston Coyotes.

Anyone who thinks Atlanta (or whatever suburban hell they'd put the team in) deserves a third chance has Great Old Ones whispering in their ear.
Bettman is looking a little wonky these days.

It's OITGDNHL, so Atlanta & Houston it is then.

Every dynasty ends eventually. We could be headed into a Era of the NBA where we get a different champion each season for awhile.

No one cares about the Kings and the 2002 series was 20 years ago.
Not saying that to be a dick, but instead because the Kings have zero national profile. If they start winning, that changes. But right now they're the underdog with essentially no national TV exposure until tonight.
Doesn't matter anyway since the Warriors are going to win.
Aren't you the geek that hates the Bay Area/Nor Cal and roots for the Lakers because of your LeBron fetish. Buffalo born and Seattle stupid.

Finally an epic rivalry born out of blood and steel as Kings and Warriors battle across the Northern California wastelands. One shall stand. One shall fall. It is time!!!!!

So if they and the Warriors win their round one series, do they meet each other in round two or in the Western Conference Finals? I heard someone say today that they could meet in round two.
Round two.

Minnesota just frozen solid shooting wise.

Good Lord. This Lakers-TWolves game!

They couldn't meet until the conference finals.
Wrong. If the Warriors are a 6 seed and the Lakers are 7 and they both win their first round series they would meet in the second round. NBA doesn't re-seed.

Assuming the Lakers win their play in game, I can totally see both them and the Warriors knocking off the Grizzlies & Kings to set up a second round match.
-
So are the Clippers going to job to Phoenix today to avoid playing those same Suns in the first round? Warriors are obviously going to blow out Portland. Suns-Warriors & Kings-Clippers would be a fun first round.

Immediately after winning the championship, San Diego State will turn heel on the MWC and join the Pac-12.

Uh, because Seattle is just not a good city? Never been to the city but haven't heard good things about it. (Very rainy, people seem to be unfriendly towards visitors, fans in all sports seem to have a grudge against every team in their leagues). I mean, don't get me wrong, Cincinnati isn't exactly Versailles either, but from what I've heard, the two cities are almost polar opposites politically, so it could also just be Rednecks being Rednecks. Eh, whatever, it's Soccer, I hardly care.
WTF?

Well, the Raiders started play in 1960 and by the time the Saints did (1967), the Raiders had already switched to Silver.

"You can't delete us, we had the bash brothers once! We matter!" No. Nobody cares. Chop chop.
I think we outnumber the actual Rays fans here. (as if that's a high bar to clear)
Absolutely seething. Go play banjo on the porch for a while.
Ask the empty stadium.
Also how can your stadium have sewage problems when nobody's there to use your toilets? Are those feral cats potty-trained?
Should we just call you dbad for short?

The Rockets aren't owned by Les Alexander anymore. Tillman Fertitta bought them 5 years ago and has expressed interest in an NHL team for Houston.
