I think those are actually grey facemasks like they really wore, but look darker because of the angle or the lighting or something. At least that is what I see. Do you have any other screenshots?
Also, that's weird about the purple pants. Was Baltimore ever supposed to wear those IRL, or did an animator mess something up (or just choose to get creative)?
Here's another angle of Arizona's facemasks. It's weird because they're light gray on the team selection screen but are dark gray or black during on-field action. Definitely darker than what Jake Plummer and crew actually used as seen below. Also for some reason, the Cardinals endzones are dark gray instead of red.
For Baltimore, I don't remember any plans back in the late 90s or early 2000s for them to wear purple pants, and if the developer was trying to be creative, at least give them the correct purple!
Speaking of black facemasks, I just noticed Tampa Bay doesn't have them on the field.....they have pewter instead, matching the helmet. Also notice the Bucs and Vikings are each missing their sleeve patches.

Forgot about this but Jacksonville and Philadelphia have issues in two of my favorite arcades, "NFL Blitz" and "NFL Blitz '99"
-- Jacksonville uses the original unused font on the intro screen and the illegal logo and same font in the endzones
-- Philadelphia's helmet is the early 90's kelly green one with a black facemask
-- Philadelphia uses the 1996 road uniform (stripes on the sleeves, Eagle logo on the green pants) when these games were based on 1997 and 1998 rosters and looks

"Florida Fire Frogs" for the new Braves FSL team
Quote"[Brandiose] had a vision, and I think they came up with logos that say what the community is all about. Whether traditional or non-traditional, it's about family. The families here support each other and want to be supported."
As for why the team opted to use "Florida" as its geographical signifier, as opposed to something more specific, Harrington said that it's because he wants the Fire Frogs to be a "big brand." Kissimmee is located approximately 20 miles south of Orlando, the fourth largest city in Florida and a tourism epicenter.
"This is a big area, and our name signifies that we have the expectation of being big, We want to be the community's team, to bring more people to the table."
Wednesday's announcement is part of a multi-stage rollout. The Fire Frogs plan to unveil uniforms next month, including a sleek, pinstriped alternate logo featuring a black cap emblazoned with a gray, metallic "F". -

Black (and silver) are the secondary colors

Yup, that's it. A non-uniform note about that game: if you try to match the numbers to players, you'll find 1986 and 1987 rosters mixed together, and none of the stats match either year

I know we said NES doesn't count due to system limitations, but some of the combinations in the licensed MLB game were interesting:
-- The system couldn't use yellow in the uniforms, so the Pirates wore peach unis / black accessories at home and dark gray unis / peach accessories on the road
-- The system couldn't do royal blue or navy blue in the uniforms, so the Astros (home accs and road unis(?!)), Tigers, Red Sox (road accs), Cubs, Dodgers, Blue Jays, White Sox, Royals, Mariners and Rangers (road accs) all used the same replacement color.....purple! The Mets, Indians, Brewers and Rangers (home accs) had a different color....light purple! So what about the Braves, Expos (home accs*) and Twins (home accs*)? This blue. The Yankees? They used black, so they looked exactly like the Giants.
-- The Expos, Blue Jays and Royals had powder blue road unis, but for some reason the Cubs and Phillies had.....even lighter purple
-- The Athletics had white road unis
-- The Reds had pink road unis instead of gray (even though the Cardinals had gray/red)-- The Angels had hot pink accessories
-- The Brewers had gold road unis
* - Despite having blue home accessories, they switched to red on the road

Madden '95, '96 and '97 each had the Jaguars in teal helmets, teal jerseys and gold pants, then they finally fixed it in the '98 version

Looks similar to their SAL division rivals in Lakewood, but I guess there's only so many different ways to do a crustacean logo set

I might have missed it, but did AHL announce the alignment of the other five divisions besides the Pacific? Looks like Manitoba says in the Western Conference and Rochester/Toronto/Utica move to the Eastern, but I haven't seen anything in terms of Atlantic/NE/East changes

Although the names were a stunning joke, it turned out that Chris Creamer of SportsLogos.net was dead on with his scoop of the 10 finalists for the nickname of the new Hartford minor league baseball team.

The new ECHL divisions and playoff format were announced for next season
http://echl.com/alignment-playoff-format-announced-for-2015-16-season-p196093
-- 6 divisions, adding a "South" (EC) and "Midwest" (WC) and changing "Pacific" to "West"
-- Elmira and Reading stay in the East with the three newcomers (Adirondack, Manchester, Norfolk)
-- The other five East teams will be the new "South"
-- Brampton moves to the EC and joins Kalamazoo, Toledo and Wheeling in the North
-- Cincinnati, Evansville, Fort Wayne and Indy move to the WC and become the new "Midwest" division, with Quad City joining them from the Central
-- Rapid City moves from the Central to the West, joining the remaining teams (Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Utah)
-- Playoffs will be like the previous NHL format (3 division champs then 5 best records, best of 7 series, conference champs battle for the championship)
Inaccurate colors/uniforms in video games that should know better

The original Blitz games were usually color-vs-color unless the teams had similar uniform colors (Eagles/Dolphins, Chiefs/Redskins, etc.).....which doesn't explain Arizona vs Baltimore at all
