I think the simple silhouette and serifed font of the old one looked more "serious" and "professional", and would probably make me feel that I could trust them with my money more than the new one. Also not sure why there was a need to introduce orange to the palette. Old: New: I assume this means that it'll be updated on Lincoln Financial Field. It's been essentially untouched since 2003, other then embiggining the size of the logo above the scoreboard.
