Kess Posted May 9, 2005 Share Posted May 9, 2005 If having the Springfield Cardinals playing their first season wasn't enough excitement for me, Southwest Missouri State - my alma mater - will be unveiling its new Missouri State University logo soon.The name change isn't official until Aug. 28, bt the committee working on the re-design should have a final decision made in 7-10 days. A CD with logos and lettering should be ready by June 1. The guy doing the work is Kevin Prejean, from Springfield. He did the current "SMS" lettering and bear head logo back in the late 1990's. The bear head is still going to be used.The school can't change officially until 8/28, but the fall semester starts before then.
