First sports jerseys...

To whom it may concern,

I am a research student from the Faculty of Architectures Design Computing degree at the University of Sydney, Australia.

I am currently doing research in the area of sports computing and am in the middle of writing a research paper.

I am trying to find research papers or journals or even images or documents regarding the first sports uniforms/jerseys of our modern era.

For example the first jerseys used in team sports games. the first time numbers were used on jerseys etc.

If you could help out by providing information i would be most grateful.

There's also a basketball one--and there was a soccer one that seems to be gone.

A couple of the ones abbove are more recent than your question.

I won't vouch for 100% accuracy on these either.

A simple google search should turn up more (there are 3 very good football helmet sites out there, and a Denver Bronco's uni history, etc, etc...)
