It's on the national sports radar exclusively because of the NFL's progressive foresight to share revenues so that all teams could compete on a level playing field. To imply that they'd be a viable NHL market over any Canadian city (save Toronto and Montreal) or several other US cities is ridiculous. This is true. Besides, Green Bay is a one-team town. The league's TV numbers in the Midwest, between the Mississippi and the Rockies, are non-existant. It might help if there were a heartland team.
