Logo Phases or Genres

Look at the history of World Series logos and you will find that they too, seem to have been in phases.

While all the logos from 1974 to 1977 were essentially unique, since then until just recently all the logos have followed a pattern.

In 78 and 79, they were all "Super Bowly", in that instead of saying what year the game was taking place, instead they stated what number series it was, "75th World Series" for example, was used in 1978. The both had very similar logos as well.

Then, from 1980 to 1986, they all followed the format of having the words "World Series" followed by the year.

From 1987 to 1991, there was used a simple diamond with the bases on it, with the year and the words "World Series".

From 92 to 97, it was a more complex diamond, with a sphere in the middle.

98 and 99 were the sole example of the "Tilted towards the right" generation of WS logos.

2000 to 2003 all were loosely connected in that they had a ball in orbit of a spheric thing, but they weren't all that similar between them though.

Since 2004, the WS logos have had almost nothing in common year to year.
