Neon_Matrix Posted February 8, 2006 Share Posted February 8, 2006 Well, looks like we lost our stud defenseman Scott Niedermayer to knee surgery over the Olympic break, so to this point, we are going to be without previous gold medal winners Niedamayer and Ed Jovanovski. So where we stand, we now will have a defense corpse of:Chris ProngerWade ReddenRobyn RegherRob BlakeAdam Foote*Bryan McCabe*Jay BouwmeesterDan Boyle will take up McCabe's spot on the Taxi squad. I would much rather prefer to see Dion Phaneuf on the taxi squad...but Dan Boyle is fine. Well I'd much rather see Nieds and Jovocop in the line up, I think McCabe fills in nicely for Nieds when it comes to being able to shoot from the point and Bouwmeester will be a nice fill for size and some offense. I think this D is still very good, but not as strong as it would be with the other 2 players.And yes, I realise now I see I spelled his name wrong in the title...
