OMMF Posted April 26, 2006 Share Posted April 26, 2006 From today's Oregonian:Adidas signs Reggie BushAdidas Group, a German company that manages its North American business from Portland, made it formal today, announcing an endorsement deal with Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush.Terms of the multi-year deal were not disclosed. But the contract, rumored for weeks, is reportedly worth $1 million a year, according to SportsBusiness Journal.Bush, expected to be the No. 1 pick in this weekend's NFL draft, is Adidas' first football endorser. In an interview today, Bush said he decided to accept the endorsement deal with Adidas because he was excited about becoming the face of the Adidas brand in football. With Nike, he said, the company already has a large roster of football athletes.Adidas is seeking to build up its football business, and recently launched a new compression performance apparel line to compete with Under Armour and Nike.
