Mac the Knife Posted May 12, 2006 Share Posted May 12, 2006 Former two-time Heavyweight Champion Floyd Patterson died Thursday at the age of 71.Patterson is best known for having become the first two-time heavyweight titleholder in boxing history, winning the title in the late 50's, losing it in 1959, then winning it back a year later.
