I recently got the Pro Football Hall of Fame 85 Years Of Greatness DVD and one interesting segment asked hall of famers the following question:

If you were drafting a team using only players in the Hall of Fame, who would be your first pick?

The responses were interesting, to say the least, and not that predictable:

Gene Upshaw: Bronco Nagurski

Bill Willis: Marion Motley

Charley Trippi: Steve Van Buren

Eric Dickerson: Night Train Lane

Charley Taylor: Bobby Bell

Bob St. Clair: Gino Marchetti

Gino Marchetti: Lenny Moore

Lee Roy Selmon: Walter Payton

Mel Blount: Gale Sayers

Gale Sayers: Dick Butkus/Deacon Jones

Paul Warfield: Dick Butkus

Bob Griese: Paul Warfield

Don Maynard: Joe Namath

Roger Staubach: Tony Dorsett

Tony Dorsett: Roger Staubach

Chuck Noll: Joe Greene

Franco Harris: Joe Greene

Dwight Stephenson: Dan Marino

Larry Little: Dan Marino

Don Shula: Dan Marino

Bill Dudley: Sammy Baugh

Mel Renfro: Joe Montana

Bill Walsh: Joe Montana

Mike Haynes: Joe Montana

Frank Gatski: Otto Graham

Lenny Moore: Johnny Unitas

Sam Huff: Johnny Unitas

Frank Gifford: Jim Brown

Leroy Kelly: Jim Brown

Paul Krause: Jim Brown

Willie Lanier: Jim Brown

Ronnie Lott: Johnny Unitas/Jim Brown

Johnny Unitas got the most votes for QB, but Jim Brown got the most votes overall.

WDYT?
