RyanB06
I like the alliteration, and the fact that it's not "Wildcats" is a bonus. Easily the best of the field. Waleslax
Not a single unique or original name in the group - it's like choosing a logo from clip art.I really have to imagine that there is some interesting or historic thing about a town or school that could be used to choose a logo/mascot. BallWonk
Not a single unique or original name in the group - it's like choosing a logo from clip art.I really have to imagine that there is some interesting or historic thing about a town or school that could be used to choose a logo/mascot.I agree, but it's still not a bad name, considering the possibilities they were actually looking at. It is a shame that it is so rare at any level to look for locally meaningful team names, though it's hard to fault a little school in Wisconsin for making the same mistake made by almost every professional team in the last twenty years. Locally appropriate alternatives: Trappers, Traders, Pelts, Miners, Farmers, Plows, Devils, Kettles.
