Brian in Boston
Well, the new World Hockey Association has announced the addition of Miami, Florida to its lineup of markets. The South Florida city joins Hamilton, Minneapolis, Quebec City, Toronto and the mysterious "unnamed American city" in the new league's inaugural season plans. The team's majority owner is a guy by the name of Dan Krusz. He apparently heads up Endicott Media, a company based in Boston, MA.Supposedly, at a press conference next Thursday (April 22nd), the WHA will have in attendance representatives of all of the cities playing in the league's 2004-2005 season.Brian in Boston
STL FANATIC
St. Louis was supposed to have a team, but ended up having the potential owner decided not to. I think it'd be cool if he jumped back in though. JUSTIN STRIEBEL | PORTFOLIO | RESUME | CONTACT
CC97
Teams in Toronto and Hamilton could be a mistake, both cities already have AHL franchises. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram
Brian in Boston
I thought the exact same thing, Chris. Yet, they were both amongst the earliest cities mentioned in the new WHA's plans... as well as being early confirmations as WHA markets.
