My 8-bit Concept 2 (too?...late)

I know that this is late, really late, but I felt compelled to do this. Mind you, I've never done a logo or wordmark ever, let alone a package, so this was a new experience. I learned how to use Photoshop and ImageReady a bit, and Illustrator just a little (thanx to the resources of my university). The images are a bit rough, I'm a novice when it comes to this stuff. I don't think that this concept'd be eligible for 'The Battle' anyway, but here it is:
