DMadSport Posted October 21, 2011 Share Posted October 21, 2011 Since it doesn't appear to have been mentioned yet on here, I'll bring up the anniversary of CBS's eye logo, which was marked by the network yesterday (October 20, 2011). The network marked the logo's anniversary by adding the original 1951 eye on its network and news websites.Also, CBS opened its 10/20 primetime (8PM ET) with a montage of the eye logo over the years. (Personal favorite: the inclusion in that montage of the eye logo from the Bill Kurtis/Diane Sawyer CBS Morning News, c. 1982, the one with spectrum bursts of color emitting outward.) The rest of the primetime shows for the night were preceded by a 16:9 recreation of the original still-image eye logo (one set against a backdrop of clouds) and the marker "Est. October 20, 1951."The Hollywood Reporter had some additional information. Does anyone have a link to the above mentioned montage? (I haven't seen it online yet.)
