You can adjust the padding-left and padding-right on the li tag. Make sure you set them the same or it won't align exaclty in the center (if you centered it).

For some reason that isnt doing it for the individual items, only for the list as a whole.

Indeed JR. I looked at his example, and by looking at it, and the way he did it, I answered most of the questions that I had remaining about putting stuff into the Stylesheet.

I do have one more question though. Is there a script that will automattically resize a browser to show just the right size you need to show the site and nothing more? I know there probably has to be. I'm gonna look through the book more, so it might be there. Oh and Pollux, you rock dude.

Yeah I bought a book, and I'm trying right now to get it to do it all in a CSS stylesheet. Can I do such things as placement of objects and background color, stuff like that on the style sheet too, or is it better to just do div tags?

And yeah, its the same website. Its gonna be my guinea pig to learn CSS.

Question: Using CSS, I am wanting to have one link style a certain way (no underline, first color pink, second white) but want a second link style to have the second color of grey but the same first color and underline) how can I set it up to do this. Currently it all goes to the 1st one when I do it. Do I just change the color manually, or is there a code way to do it as well? Thanks.

If you use "Add" in the pathfinder, then click "Expand," your objects will fuse into one without you having to trace the common outline. I don't know if that quite explains it; I may have misunderstood the question.

Nope, thats exactly what i was lookin for. No more uneven outlines for me!

I have a question.....

Instead of going back and tracing all of the outlines i make to become one solid object (which is why I get line thickness problems sometimes) how can I use pathfinder to make it all one object?

Right now I am just using CS because I am a poor college kid, but I don't imagine there would be much difference between CS and CS2 on Pathfinder.

I do the same thing as Joel does. If you don't once you get a ton of fonts, Office starts to freak out on you.

does anyone have a SLIM DVD cover insert template, in Photoshop format or .jpg/.gif? I really just need the width guides for the side part when it's folded. if anyone has one, I'd appreciate it.

My friend TIVO'd NFL games and transfered them to DVDs and I am making covers for all his games, using the Slim DVD cases...

I searched for them, but I couldn't find a good one... the one I found that would have worked was in .ai form and I don't have Illustrator.

if you have photoshop, you can open the ai file in it. it will rasterize the ai template upon opening.

this may be a dumb question, but maybe someone can answer it. I have a template made by Pattrick Cummings that has the message infront of all of the actual artwork, the message says to delete it, but is there an easy way of doing this? i tried ungrouping everything, but it always deletes part of the template...please help....thanks
