  1. Hey guys, first time posting but thanks for all the templates i've been using them for a while. However, what happened to the posts with the hockey pants and sock templates? They were really helpful, maybe he/she could post them again, or if someone has them...? Thanks guys.

    First Post. Works Perfectly.

The one i'm talking about had the striping already on them, for example the 'yotes three stripe pant template along with the socks for them

I've got the pants one but not the socks. I'll email them to LEWJ

  3. Who was doing the rugby templates again? and How are they coming along?

Very slowly, I've had term papers due the past month, and my finals were last week, so I haven't started yet, but they should be up by the end of the month.

Haha I know the feeling. Doing that myself right now. No worries, I was just curious as I haven't heard anything yet. Looking forward to seeing the end results. Cheers man!!

  7. Wow, I really created a :censored: storm here lol. All I am saying in this is that in my opinion I believe that the title of "world champion" should be reserved for a club and/or national team playing in an international tournament or against other countries in a world championship format. Didn't really mean to stray off topic here of arena rafter banners.

  8. So then what do you call the winners for the World Champs for IIHF and FIBA? What about the World Baseball Classic winners or the Rugby World Cup winners or the FIFA World Cup winners? My point is that these are the HIGHEST level of competition for their respective sports and hence why they should be called "World Champions" not the champions of domestic leagues. The title of "World Champions" should be reserved for countries and/or clubs who are competing in international competitions where there is more then one country involved. An example would be the ZSC Lions of the Swiss National League A for hockey. They won the Swiss league, the Champions Hockey League and then beat the Chicago Blackhawks for the Victoria Cup. In essence they are a club that competed in a international club championship and won it all and would deserve the title of "World Champions".

  9. I think there would be a fair amount of teams in Japan or Korea that could take on some of the MLB teams, same with some European clubs with basketball. I'm not sure who they would be because I don't really follow those sports. As for football, they have a name for the championship game, my argument is, why can't they call themselves "Super Bowl Champions" instead of "World Champions"?

  10. Why do they call themselves "World Champions"? I've never understood that when it comes to the NFL, NBA and MLB. For one, it's not an international championship. I know for the NBA, there are other countries in the world besides the US that have domestic leagues and I'm pretty sure they don't put "World Champions" when they win their respective domestic competitions. I might just be picky here but I think the title of "World Champions" should be reserved for international competitions such as the FIBA World Champs (currently going on in Turkey right now), FIFA World Cup and Club World Cup, IIHF World Champs, IRB Rugby World Cup, and World Baseball Classic. I know there are many others for various sports, just too many to list. My point is that the title "World Champions" should not be given to domestic competition winners. What's wrong with "Super Bowl Champions"?

  11. "Western Conference Regular Season Champions"? Is there such a title? Is anything actually awarded to the 1 seed in each conference? Or are they just looking for reasons to make banners?

I think the team just does it if they feel like it?

I know the Red Wings do the same, but the Sabres do not do this (They were the "Eastern Conference Regular Season Champions" in 2007, but there is no such banner mentioning it)

What about the other 28 teams...anybody got info on what they do?

Does the NHL recognize a "regular season" champion? If not, then the team is just making up fake championships. It's kind of like how Ted DiBiase invented the Million Dollar Championship, just so he could have a pretty belt to wear around.

    Yes, it's the President's Trophy.

  12. I do recall a huge rant he had while he was with the Sens after a game against the Maple Leafs during the 2000 playoffs.

Was that after he two-handed and broke Yanic Perreault's arm for absolutely no reason? That may have been during the regular season

I don't know but I know the rant had something about his father in it and a bunch of other crap about the media. It caught the HNIC reporter way off guard though and he looked pretty dumbfounded after the interview.

  13. Brett Hull

    hullusa21802.jpg

Zach Parise (Legend in the making?)

    USA-Parise12.jpg

If you dont understand, Ill explain.

You don't have to explain anything. They're in the right jerseys.

Parise was born and raised in Minnesota, so even though his Dad is Canadian and Zach could have played for the Canadians, Zach is American through and through.

Yeah, Hull was born in Canada, and spent a lot of time there, but he also lived in Chicago with his Dad, where all his other siblings were born. So, while he had dual citizenship, more than that, in '86 Team USA was the one who showed interest in him playing for them, not Canada. Hull decided to stick with that loyalty throughout his career.

I admire both of their decisions.

To us Canadians, both of them are traitors.

I think there are some Canadians out there who still feel a bit ripped off from the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. Hull played really well for the Americans, especially in the final...and on a side note to this, Adam Deadmarsh, who played for Quebec/Colorado and LA, was born in Trail, BC but played for the US in international events.

  14. Does anyone have templates for using in paint for the new Canterbury Clothing Company rugby jerseys (South Africa and Australia use them)as well as those ugly Nike ones (England and France both use them) as well as any of the other company's like Barbarian, Gilbert, Samari ECT. I do recall that someone was in the process of making them.
