  1. My best guess would be the orange being altered. Both in shade and prominence. That would make sense with the logo, helmet, jersey and pants being altered, while also "not being shocking to fans".
  2. I've got a few Dolphins. Reggie and Xavien Howard. #25. Both cornerbacks. Ricky and Damien Williams. #34. Both running backs.
  3. President/CEO Tom Garfinkel said last year that he believed brand evolution is a good thing and brand revolution is a bad thing, so I doubt going to the throwback look full time is going to happen anyway. He seems pretty happy with the way things are. Again, I understand I’m in he minority on this, but I agree with his point of view. I’d prefer to keep things as they are now. The throwbacks are a great look and I wouldn’t want to taint them in any way so only wearing them twice a year is a smart move.
  4. I’d allow it for throwback uniforms only. So teams like the Patriots, Broncos, Eagles, Redskins, Bucs, etc. can wear legit throwbacks. But I don’t want to see teams designing random alternate helmets like college teams do.
  5. If the new logo is cruise ship-esque (whatever that means) what does that make the shriveled up on the shore looking logo from the ‘60s? I really like both looks, but there’s a reason that original logo was updated over the years.
  6. I agree with the Rams but they’re a different case because their current uniforms have been made a mess with the different color horns on the helmet versus the jersey. They’re also getting new uniforms anyway.
  7. The Bills-Dolphins game looked really awesome with both teams wearing their old school uniforms. That being said, I still don't understand the constant chanting of so many people to make everything retro new again. These uniforms are great serving their purpose as a special treat. A turn-back-the-clock change up. In my unpopular opinion, they should be left in that role. Keep the current uniforms as the current uniforms and the throwbacks as a once or twice a season alternate uniform. And that goes for pretty much all of these teams, not just the Bills and Dolphins. Every time a professional team wears throwback jerseys there are fans hollering to make them the regular uniforms. I just don't understand it.
  8. Pretty sure I've seen someone make it before. It looked fine but I think without the helmet the current pose works better.
  9. I grew up with that logo so it holds a special place in my heart, but I agree. Waaaaaay too cartoony. Which is another reason why I think they did a good job with the new logo. Less is more when it comes to the detail, IMO.
  10. I think that's a great looking helmet and uniform. I guess that's what makes this place great though. Different opinions.
  11. Agreed, but in the end, isn't that EXACTLY the point of the throwbacks? To wear them sparingly as a special treat? Overexposure wouldn't be a good thing in my opinion.
  12. So it makes perfect sense just to keep everything as is then, doesn't it? Wear the pure throwbacks twice a year and leave the rest alone. I still think the current logo is superior to the 66 one simply because it's much cleaner looking. I don't understand why everyone dislikes the Dolphins' current look. I have both the new and old helmet and the aqua is only a hair different and the new aqua is much closer to the original aqua than the aqua they used before the update. Literally every other mascot type logo from the 60s and 70s has been updated from the original sloppy, poorish drawings. Which is exactly what the Dolphins did what they did in 2013. Kept the same elements and cleaned it up. I really hope Tom Garfinkel just leaves everything alone. Wear the throwbacks twice a year to honor the original teams and keep the current uniforms and logo and let them continue to build something with them.
  13. I actually love our current uniforms, especially the logo. But fans have been very vocal about wanting to go back to the throwbacks permanently. So I just wonder if they’ll ever cave into the demands. I hate constant changing of uniforms though so I’d prefer they’d stick with the current set for a long time.
  14. So what's your opinion on the future of the logo and uniforms for the Dolphins? You think the plan is to stick with the current uniforms and let them grow? They just spent an insane amount of money on renovating the stadium around the new look. Personally, I love the idea of keeping the throwbacks strictly as a twice a year occasion like these last few years. Keeps them special and allows the current uniforms to grow into it's own as the main set/logo.
  15. The Dolphins throwback uniforms are great, but the current logo is definitely better (IMO). The 60’s Dolphin is just too poorly drawn to stand up now as a full-time logo. It’s too old looking and just screams of something that should have stayed in the 60’s and 70’s. I love wearing them as a special tribute twice a year as they definitely have the right appeal. However, I much prefer the cleaner current logo. I think they did it right by keeping the essential parts (aqua dolphin, orange sunburst) and cleaning it up to modern age. I know I’m in the minority though.
