  1. Had some time to start doing some updates to these. First up is the Rays, with the new look Bucs inspiration here. Pretty simple and clean, a good alternative to the double blue look they currently sport.

  2. "Browns will ‘get to work on’ adding orange pants to the new uniforms, owner JW Johnson says"

"In an appearance on the team’s in-house radio show “Cleveland Browns Daily’’ on WKNR 850 AM on Wednesday, Johnson revealed that he’s willing to explore adding the orange pants to the current lineup, which feature brown and white jerseys, and brown and white pants. The combinations include all-white unis, all-brown, brown jerseys with white pants, and white jerseys with browns pants. The all-brown version, a spin-off of the Color Rush worn at home last year, includes orange numbers on the jersey. “Did people like the orange pants?’’ Johnson said. “I didn’t realize that. I didn’t know that that was something that was a big deal. Aw, man, I guess we missed on that one.’’...

So I posted a pic of the new uniforms on Facebook and one of my friends said "Seriously, what's the difference?" The dude honestly couldn't tell the difference between the new uniforms and this. Civilians.

A co-worker asked me the same question, how is there not a distinct difference...?!

    The Columbus Blue Jackets

I've always been in favor of flag-based striping for the Blue Jackets, but it seems redundant with a flag-based logo. To fix that, the shoulder and chest logos are swapped with the alternate cannon logo taking center stage. Much like the Devils concept, using the same striping to create two unique looks here with the extended yoke on the road and cuff striping on the home. This may be my favorite of the series thus far. Let me know what you think!

I'd buy that in a heartbeat. May be my favorite CBJ idea to date on the boards so far! Could we see what it would look like with the number font they use now?

Bucs did use the old template and material pants...to be fair

Maybe it was for 2 seasons? They did use the toilet bowl collar as well...

At least it was a couple seasons, so it held through for a bit. Panthers only used it for one season. It would have made more sense to just keep the original template and waited it out until this change

Buccaneers and Dolphins did the same thing when the Nike era began. They used their then current designs for one season on the Nike templates before moving to the current sets.

  7. MIAMI MARLINS = DOLPHINS

    SAN DIEGO PADRES = CHARGERS

I tried to figure out a way to mimic the bolts, and what better than the Padres favorite pattern... digital camo.

    TAMPA BAY RAYS = BUCS

I’d probably reverse the green and black on the Mets/jets jersey. Or brighten the green. Other than that GET ME THAT JERSEY

I debated on brightening up the green but I've been trying to follow the color codes via TruColor so that's why it may seem slightly more drab than normal.

Man, these are all SO good. My favorites are the Mariners and Cubs. Interesting how the D-Backs aren't terribly far off from their actual uniforms. Any chance you could flip the colors on the Mariners script? The green outline is so thin that it becomes practically invisible when viewed from a distance.

I think the biggest thing lost by mashing up MLB uniforms with NFL is the pinstripes, which are so quintessentially "baseball." But I love these designs nonetheless. Hope to see the Twins x Vikings, Marlins x Dolphins and Nationals x Redskins!

The main reason for the outline being small is on the Seahawks numbers, you can hardly see the outline as is, but I can look at making it more bold. I do fight with the pinstripes for these designs but I think it would muddy up most of them.

This is fantastic! I love the wings on the Angels sleeves. Though I will admit, a team called the “Reds” in orange and black is a bit weird, haha.

I hope you decide to do the full league. I think a Mariners + Seahawks mashup could especially look pretty cool.

I thought about that with the Reds as well! But figured I may as well keep with the theme here. Seahawks to Mariners is coming up!

For my Red Sox, please to not use the Patriots’ outdated piping for them.

Definitely Pat Patriot or Color Rush coming there for sure.

    Next up...

    ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS = CARDINALS

    NY METS = JETS

    CHICAGO CUBS = BEARS

    SEATTLE MARINERS = SEAHAWKS

  10. I've attempted to take MLB teams, combined with NFL counterparts and their jersey designs, C&C always welcome! This may be a series for the full league, I'm open to requests as well. And with that, here we go...

    LA ANGELS = RAMS

The thought here was to try and mimic the Rams horns design with some sort of wing design on the sleeves.

    OAKLAND A'S = RAIDERS

    spacer.png

    HOUSTON ASTROS = TEXANS

    CLEVELAND INDIANS = BROWNS

Inspired by the color rush but in away form.
