That was a makeup call for the horse:censored: roughing call on the Packers a couple plays earlier, but your point remains.

Clown Ref show showed itself on the Chiefs final drive.  A terrible late hit call to protect Lord Mahomes put the refs in a bad spot. They knew they couldn't pick up that flag or it would make them look less competent. So what do the zebras do? Allow Green Bay to get away with blatant DPI which would've given KC the ball in the red zone. But wait, there's more! The refs finish a job well done by gifting the Pack another "Get our of DPI free" card on the final hail mary play. And against future HOFer Mr Pfizer, of all people!

Trash reffing, But the right team won.

Can't the NFL do something about its clear and obvious officiating problem? We all have eyes and every close game can't keep on coming down to whether the officials get the calls right or not.

Can't there be a "common sense" third party that overturns really stupid penalties or adds pass interference when it's clearly happening?

EDIT: I'm not rooting for the Chiefs, but they should have had 1st and goal at the end there. That was horse:censored:.

Can we also talk about the hit on Mahomes that was called a late hit when he was still running with the ball inbounds?

If college ball can correct personal foul calls, then should should the NFL. Seeing way too much "unnecessary roughness" when it's 100% clean.

That makes even less sense than what we got. I'll be so glad when we have a proper playoff next year. Arguing about which 2 and 3 loss teams deserve the 12 spot is significantly less integral to the credibility of a championship title.

With 12 teams, folks will still cry about who team #13 because that's college football fans do. But it's reassuring to know TEAMS WHO GO 13-0 IN A POWER 5 CONFERENCE WON'T BE LEFT OUT.

we're still allowing personal opinions to decide a champion rather than the results on the field.

Who would the BCS computer have put into the playoffs? Do we still have someone who formulates this out there?

NFL fans complain when teams say that they have more titles because their team won them before the Super Bowl existed.

Huh? I'm not sure I've ever witnessed this.

I'm sooooo glad NCAA standards can’t ruin REAL football. Imagine had the 2017 Eagles been held out of the playoffs because of Carson Wentz's injury in the final weeks of the season. "They lost their MVP-caliber QB and have to use Nick Foles now. Hahaha they have no chance! Let's get Philly the hell out of these playoffs and plug in the Cowboys because we love blue-blood teams and people will watch!" -- That's what the NCAA just did. 🚮

Huh? Retribution for FSU winning the National Championship despite having lost head-to-head against an 11-1 Notre Dame, as well as being picked over a then-undefeated West Virginia to play for the title against Nebraska.

30 years was a long time ago. Get over it. NFL fans aren't still crying about losses that happened 30 years ago. I can assure you Raiders fans have gotten over the Immaculate reception happening on them. Probably the tuck rule too.

As a Notre Dame fan, this is retribution for the '93 season. Screw FSU.

Retribution for losing in a fair contest?

    🥴🥴🥴

College fans and the entire process is insane. I blame Coach Prime for dragging me back to this back-assward, flawed joke of a sport.

I don't know college football all that well and I know I always show that ignorance by expecting logical outcomes based on performance on the field.

Actual wins counting less than good losses is the craziest thing about the sport.

The selection committee went out of their way to make sure Alabama got in over FSU. Not only what you mentioned, putting good losses on the same level as actual wins. But to have a built in loophole which states "you may punish teams if a star player is injured". That is insaneeee that is actually in their criteria handbook.

    The Power 5 Champions:

    ACC: 13-0

    Big 10: 13-0

    Big 12: 12-1

    PAC-12: 13-0

    SEC: 12-1

Simply removing team names helps demonstrate my point. You cannot leave any of the three 13-0 teams out. The final slot should and will come down to the Big 12 or SEC champion.

Guys. It's ok to leave Alabama out. America will be ok.

FSU got taken to the wire by an injury depleted 5-win Florida team that was playing their own backup QB and would probably lose to Auburn.

FSU, going undefeated in a Power 5 conference, is a lock to get in. They are #3. There is no debate with them.

If there's a debate, it should be between Texas and Bama. Texas lost to a worse team, so you could argue that I guess.
