It never goes the other way around, because Colorado people rarely leave for the perpetually grey, crime-infested, bung hole cities out east.

    Please. Go on...

  2. NFL Network made a few roster cuts today. Siciliano is a pro, will easily find other work (would be an instant upgrade to Prime or NBC's pregame shows). There are like 3 dudes on there who look like and bring the exact same thing to NFLN as James Palmer did.  So his pink slip's not really a shocker.

They’re about to sacrifice like 50 years of brand consistency for this tacky “icy” 5280/CoLoRaDo PrIdE nonsense.

This is new ownership's (Walton/Penner/Condi/Hammy's) way putting their own stamp on the team. The Broncos went a completely different direction in '97 and those unis became modern classics. I'm assuming that's their thinking now.

Colorado has a dumbass flag anyway. I legit hate that goofy Cubs logo with a sun in it looking ass logo. “Well, Coloradans love it!” Don’t care. Then you’re all dumb with bad taste.

That flag/symbol is overkill out here. Anyone in Colorado seen sporting "that goofy Cubs logo with a sun in it looking ass logo" is either tourist or is someone who just moved here from out-of-state. Locals steer clear of it these days, as it's basically the easy way to spot an outsider/poser.

I present a terrible digibash of a UTAH player from years back  of this ideaspacer.png

No chance they do 'realistic' mountains should they be doing that with the sleeves. Gotta believe they'd with the dual zig-zag mountains (which we've seen in many the concepts) which mimics the Denver city flag.

The extra orange keyline around the logo is especially pointless and unattractive. I think that even if this pedestrian design ends up being relatively close, that detail seems very unlikely.

    Agreeing with you here.

As for the rest of the helmet, classic stripes are nice. I do like the navy facemask in the graphic. Or if not, maybe orange. Going with white is kinda "meh", copying what the Dolphins and Bills are doing with white/white. (And for the love of god DO NOT let it be gray)

yeah I keep hearing the white helmet too but I'm holding out hope. Until last year the franchise never had a white helmet and white lids just make me think of midget football.

Almost like the white lids were Walton-Penner's plan all a long -- giving last year's "whitecap" helmets a test-run before going live with it in '24.

    I just don't want a white helmet.

We 99.99% know is that the Cyberhorse is sticking around and that they'll have their 80s look as their alternate uni. Sounds more and more like white helmets are a done-deal, based on what people with connections have heard. Everything else still feels up in the air, but the Denver flag/mountainy sleeves and "5280" on the pants seems on-point with how a Denver pro team re-brand would go in 2024.

Let’s be real here: Hall of Fames are mostly pointless. They’re plaques or busts in museums dedicated to the larger sport. Just let the individual teams honor the players they want (retired numbers, statues, etc.) and we can use the stats to decide who is and isn’t the best and the morality behind the stuff. Let them join the music museum in Cleveland in the “disregarded” pit.

I mostly agree. Fans would care less about the HOF (This goes for any sport)  if it didn't mean so much to the players.

I can’t wait for his defense of Altuve, Springer, and Beltran.

George Springer? Can you even make a case for that guy? Even had he not been a part of the 2017 Black Sox, he's not sniffing Cooperstown.

Altuve has a case for the HOF. But has no shot of getting in, even if he finishes with Babe Ruth numbers. You cannot exclude the HGH guys, who knowingly did something that was frowned upon but was not against MLB rules at the time, but turn around and allow Astros* hitters in, who actually broke MLB law.

Turned off the late game early to watch basketball but enjoyed what I saw today. Hopefully ESPN’s broadcasts aren’t “spread” this, “over-under” that, “live odds” blah blah blah like it was with the XFL last year that made it nearly unwatchable.

I had the early game without paying too much attention -- but noticed they didn't cram the spread & over/under into the score bug like they previously had

I like Cal, but Tubby Smith was run out of Kentucky for better results than Cal has delivered since 2019. He also doesn't help his case by being so stubborn and combative towards fans.

Go ahead. Cut Coach Cal loose and he'll get scooped up immediately by another SEC school and have more success than UK with whoever his successor is.

Wasn't his trade from Seattle to Cincinnati somewhat messy?

Griffey wanted to play in his hometown. Had nothing to do with getting a ring. Seattle still had A-Rod and won 120+ games the following season

Kinda like another irrelevant superstar who played his entire career with the Cubs and never experienced a "moment that truly mattered." His name was Ernie Banks. Maybe you've heard of him

"How dare Robin Yount never demand a trade to the 70s Yankees or 80s Oakland A's!!"

His career and legacy definitely suffered by not sticking it to Milwaukee and going ring chasing...

  14. Wild to see fans bent out of shape because Mike Trout won't demand a trade and refuses to ring chase.

I respect Trout more for wanting to play out his career with one team and not finish his career as YankSox pinch hitter just to get a ring for a team he was hardly accosicated with.
