Can someone tell me why my new thread for I posted last night at 17:45 PST in The Lounge called "Cpl Nathan Cirillo Returns to Hamilton" was moved? Why was I not even messaged about it. I thought it deserved it's own post and not get buried in the the BS in the "Ottawa Parliament Shootings" thread.

It didn't. Er wait, I'll let a mod tell you the same thing over this "outrage."

How would the mods feel about a Lounge topic regarding the strangeness occurring in North Korea right now? Lot of turmoil between N/S Korea, a potential political coup, and perhaps war. I don't want to start it without some sort of blessing since we all know how these things can go.

Some images work, and some don't. If they don't, and you're desperate to post it, save it and upload to photobucket

God, ignore this advice.

1. Photobucket is a mess. Imgur is far superior.

2. The image extension means you're likely pulling this from twitter. Be sure that the image URL ends in .png, .jpg, .jpeg, or .gif. Otherwise it's not likely to work here. Twitter's image URL's usually end in .jpg:large or something similar. Just delete the final bit until it's .jpg and you should be good to go.

You have to type out a full reply - not a quick reply. The 3rd button in on the top row is "Special BB Code" and gives you a drop down box where media and spoiler are some of the options.

I usually just type them out though as it is quicker.

I'm having trouble changing my profile pic. When I get to the "Photo Editor" screen, I select Browse and choose my photo. But when I chose that pic, it only had an X where my pic would be like it hasn't loaded right. This is why Im using the silhouette guy right now. What am I doing wrong?

Ed Farmer isn't bland. Most broadcasters are bland by training. There's almost a postmodernism to the way that he's a babbling, emptily self-aggrandizing twat. He dispenses with the conventions of baseball play-by-play and the fundamental principle of trying to convey a sense of sports-based excitement, and just sorta says a bunch of crap that may or may not have to do with the game at hand. It's kind of compelling in the abstract, but in real life it's mostly just crappy. I suggest you give them another try. Maybe you'll catch a fascinating story about the time Ed Farmer went golfing with famous stand-up comedian Sinbad and won, he actually beat Sinbad, at golf, yeah, how about that. 1 and 2 the count on Paulie, by the way.

I suppose so. I always felt like there should be a solid balance between play by play and color, but in my limited experiences with Farmer/Jackson they've just sorta been...there, I guess. Inoffensive but unengaging. I think part of this is my lack of any investment in the Sox, so I'm looking for any excuse to get excited for them, but they give my ears none.

That being said I still haven't made up my mind on Moreland with Hughes just yet.

Even when the team is good, White Sox games are unwatchable for me. I know some people eat that crap up, but they're getting fewer and dumber and older and poorer with each passing season, so maybe that shouldn't be a business' core target demo. Ed Farmer is tolerable on the radio side, but then Darrin Jackson starts talking for a stretch and whoopsies there goes my car into a utility pole again.

Farmer/Jackson personify the White Sox for me as a neutral fan: flavorless. I've never been a Sox hater but their radio team is as bland as Hawk is obnoxious.

I was terribly excited when I thought you were "Logical Ham," but the magic's gone.
