  1. I was at Hawk Quarters in Chicago today and, no kidding, a guy walks in in the worst knock of and asks "hey, take a look at this, how much do you think this is worth?" and without missing a beat the girl behind the counter goes "nothing, that is a piece of garbage knock off. Needless to say, the dude goes absolutely ballistic because he is convinced that he's gotten the best deal on Earth when in fact what he got was, well, junk.

anyone really concerned about a knock off is/must be young and worried about trivial crap like what other people think. Or if youre older, you possess no wisdom and worry about really stupid crap. I have a couple knock offs and they are fine. The numbers are a tad big but its obvious what team is being represented and they are better quality than over priced pseudo replicas sold in America.

Sure its nice to have what is considered the real thing but paying 300 for a football jersey is pretty stupid....I do hope to get one eventually, but for now knock offs are fine.

One day I'd like to buy my own cable. But for now stealing my neighbors is fine.

pointless, unrelated, and means nothing. Get to the point ,jersey control freak.

  3. Do you think driving while intoxicated is a victimless crime?

    Yes.

But once an accident occurs it becomes a crime with a victim.

SO, has charger77 bought any knock offs since starting this thread ?

    Nope.

    GOING TO ?

    Nope.

than why bother with thread still? if something is cheaper and half way decent looking. I'll get it

Sure I would like an official Jersey. But in the meantime ,these are neither classless or tasteless.

  4. Ever think of taking advantage of an "internet deal"?

    Here is their "quality"

Most of these sites have pop-up "customer service" boxes where the sales rep admitted to me that the jerseys are counterfit... his words!

    Low quality China jerseys.

Take a look at their hockey jerseys. They can't get a font type or size correct to save their lives.

Their North Star Ns are way to big, same with the Whaler logos.

Their Blackhawk 1s are in correct.

ok, so , do you buy the stuff or not ? regardless of this banter

The materials used on letters number and patches don't seem to be the high quality material.

You definately get what you pay for.

  5. Here's what I do when looking to buy a jersey at a website.

First thing I do is look for the 'contact us' info ... if there even is one.

If they don't list a USA type phone number ... and/or .... USA address, it generally means they're in China or someplace very foreign and I will not do business with them.

I found a nice authentic NFL jersey, clicked on the 'contact us' info .... listed there was a NJ phone number. I then contacted them, found out their office and where they ship from is out of New Jersey, and went over their return policy with them. It's also guaranteed to be authentic NFL merchandise/apparel.

I can't get over how many of the 'contact us' boxes were only links to contact them by email. No phone number, no address!!!

Not the type of company you wanna take a chance by spending your hard-earned dollars at. :therock:

PLEASE don't get fooled. You may get the merchandise, but it's fake. Those ridiculously low prices you find on these websites are for a very good reason.

If it's super-inexpensive from an American merchant, it's generally a clearing-house from a player no longer with that club that too many were produced and they just wanna move 'em out and take a loss on them.

you forgot the part about spending nearly $300 on a simple jersey ?

or do you happen to know about an American jersey shop thats inexpensive ? if so, i would certainly like to know about it !

  6. This reminds me of the "professor" was trying to argue that the Vikings' uniforms were meant to be worn purple over purple, and insisted that was the case even when factual evidence proved him wrong.

Look rams29jackson, producing counterfeit jerseys is illegal. It violates intellectual property laws. This isn't a hard concept to grasp.

and what I am saying for all intents and purposes is, I dont have a counterfit and got it for cheaper than the ridiculous prices they want to sell them for here.

I really dont give a damn what angle brass and bringback are trying to argue.

The original Question is- Thinking about getting- and I think you should because you can get a decent product not paying an arm and a leg and its better than Americas stupid idea of a replica football jersey thats made like a hanky with iron on numbers.

all the rah-rah USA- its against the law argument is pointless and doesnt mean crap because they have been doing it for ever in plain site and the NFL and M&N cant do crap about it.

Your jersey is fake. Mitchell & Ness jerseys are made in the US. The only NFL jerseys not made overseas.

nope, M & N IS outsourcing to China

  8. what i've learned so far is Brass and bringbackthevet are typical internet troll rude.....

U.S. copyright laws? I just stated the company is overseas, therefore the law doesnt apply.....and the sites have been up for months, maybe years, and i dont see them getting in trouble ? just my 2 cents

and whats with the knock offs = equals sub standard people comment?

  9. I dont understand the anti-knock off argument. If it looks decent and is cheaper, thats always good.

Then quite frankly, you are one of the dumber people on this site. Most people who purchase these things know why it's wrong, they just choose for whatever reason to do it anyway. If you really don't see what the problem is here, then I really hope you sterilize yourself so that you don't pollute our gene pool by making dumb babies.

your comment is somewhat pointless. I have a real Mitchell N Ness. I just cut out the middle man. If it were crap, I would tell you so.

What's really pointless is your rambling about your "authentic" Mitchell & Ness jersey without providing us a picture of it.

It sucks that knock-offs even exist but for apparently "sub-standard" people like college kids or poorer people, acquiring an actual authentic (licensed) jersey is impossible. I bought a jersey off of website and it looks allright, but more likely than not is it a counterfeit. Sure, it's bad, but it only cost me $60 which is the "sweet-spot" for my means. I got a license CBJ Alt Customized jersey over Christmas, but that was a special present. It's not fair to look down on the buyers as much as it is to look down on the sellers.

    Just my pitch.

    ~Brett

Fair, but as someone on here pointed out a while back, being a college student isn't an excuse - no one is entitled to a jersey of their favorite team.

sorry I dont have the equipment/device/camera for pictures. I am an adult telling the truth though.

now I see a pointless argument about being against the law...? Look if some guy in America is trying to sell obvious fakes and ripping off a company in America by/for lying is one thing and against the law. But if an American company is using Chinese makers to make their jersey and those Chinese sell a few on the side because our laws dont apply to them. Thats not against the law, thats a contractual problem that the American company cant do crap about. Its an extension of free enterprise. It may be odd, but its not like buying your neighbors stolen stereo from another guy who took it.

  11. I thought it would be a knock off, but when I got it. everything was perfect and the Mitchell N Ness tags are on it.

This has the NHL tags on the sleeve. Must mean it's real, right?

whats your point ? what I have is an actual Mitchell N Ness product. I got it from the people that make it for them without paying the rediculuos price from Mitchell N Ness.

My point is that you got the jersey from a website which advertises nothing but fake jerseys. Then, you ordered something and assumed it was authentic because it had the "Mitchell and Ness" tags. Just because it has tags, doesn't mean it's real. I'm sorry to say, but your jersey is most likely fake and you'll soon see exactly what you paid for.

No , I ordered it assuming it was a knock off. Can you not understand that may well be the comapny that makes it for Mitchell n ness? Even if it is a so called fake, it is done EXACTLY as a Mitchell n Ness for $250.00.

this has no imperfections at all. Same material, same design etc. Where did I say I assumed I was getting an original? I assumed it would be off here or there. But its the real deal!

  12. I dont understand the anti-knock off argument. If it looks decent and is cheaper, thats always good. Only a fool pays 3oo dollars for a jersey. I'm not wearing it to a wedding.......? I aint paying that much.

that being said- for Christmas ,I did get a real Mitchell & Ness for under $50 from C2Cjersey.

    A green replica Nitschke-

I thought it would be a knock off, but when I got it. everything was perfect and the Mitchell N Ness tags are on it.

Basically, this is probably the company that makes the Jerseys for Mitchell n Ness and must sell a few on the side since American Laws dont apply to them. I am pretty sure I have the genuine article. And if I dont, so what ? it is exactly how a Mitchell n Ness is made. way better than those cheap nfl replicas with iron on numbers that are $60 or more and dont last.

This is one of the best uniforms in the NFL. Monochrome or not, awesome is awesome.

Not my favorite, but still good for what it is. I'm still not sure but I think the first year they did it

that it was more green blue ..?

its good in its own right because the practically invented a color. but I would have used the old blue in the pin stripe and not lime/dayglo. I really dont see the point of the lime green jersey? its a bad reminder of the 1980s haha

Maybe because two blues and lime green look better then three blues?

the difference in shade is so great, I think it would work and the pin stripe isnt that noticable to make it a bad contrast. Look at Buffalo as example. they use 2 or 3 blues and 2 more colors added while still mimicing an old school design

Using Buffalo as an example of how do design a uniform is a very bad idea. The Bills have the prototypical bad uniform.

For the record they use two blues and nickel, and it looks terrible. The most needlessly crammed colour scheme in the NFL.

TO EACH, their own, but I think Buffalo works quite nicely being complex without being overbearing.
