  1. Basically, it's impossible to even make an argument with some of the stubborn people in this thread. A typical exchange goes as:

Person 1: If I can get a jersey for cheap, I don't care that it's illegal and I'm going to buy it.

Person 2: You're saying that there is no legal issue with buying counterfit jerseys, you are entitled to a jersey at a lower price, and doing things illegal isn't bad. It is also ok to kill people. That is exactly what you're saying.

Wow, that's so far off you have no idea.

BTW, one of the members on your 'side' is the one that started comparing one illegal activity to another with his, "well, you speed so you're just as guilty because you commit crime too."

But it really isn't. Every time I've posted in this thread my message has had the same general gist: If I can buy a jersey for less money from a China counterfit site, I don't care that it's illegal, and I'm going to do it.

    The responses I get:

-You're claiming that you're entitled to a jersey at a lower price

-You're saying that doing illegal things is ok, so it's also OK to rob a bank

-You're saying there's no legal issue with what you're doing

^NO! I'm not saying any of that. "If I can buy a jersey for less money from a China counterfit site, I don't care that it's illegal, and I'm going to do it." - period. It's a simple as that. And a question that I have for everyone so against others buying one counterfit jersey: Why do you care? In what way will this affect your life? Yes, I know it's illegal, but it really can't be compared to murder or robbing a bank. If anything, buying a counterfit jersey is equivilant to smoking pot. Yeah, it's illegal, but why would it really bother one's neighbors?

And yes, I'm prepared for all of the angry and sarcastic responses that I'm going to get for this.

yes, because the smoke could come into my house and ruin my lungs

  2. http://www.edmontonsun.com/2011/11/28/us-seizes-websites-accused-of-selling-fake-goods

WASHINGTON - Some 150 websites allegedly selling counterfeit goods including shoes, purses, sunglasses and sports jerseys have been seized, U.S. authorities said Monday, coinciding with the Cyber Monday holiday shopping day.

U.S. authorities in the past few days slapped notices on the seized websites, including www.pumaoutlets.net, www.myjerseyshop.com, www.uggbootsclearanceoutletstores.com, in a bid to thwart sales of the counterfeit goods.

However, authorities say they face difficulties prosecuting the sellers of the fake goods because they are typically overseas, predominantly in China. ...

good to hear! hope they keep em coming!

  3. I thought this looked really good.

    Barry Sander Oklahoma State Jersey

Especially without the space between Oklahoma and State.

One big thing you have to be careful about is pictures taken of an authentic jersey used to sell counterefeit products. How hard would it be to buy an authentic jersey for your pictures to sell more product only to ship out the counterfeits?

I see this all the time, which makes buying jerseys a challenge sometimes.

    haha good thing Oklahomastate exists

  4. I hadn't even bothered with this thread until today.

I've read every page now (it's a slow day at work, lol) and frankly, I don't get any of it.

#1- If something is illegal, it's illegal what more is there to say? If you are ok with that, fine, but don't try to save face by saying something like "everyone does something illegal from time to time".

#2- I don't know about you guys but I bought the 1st version of the Leafs edge jersey (no name or number) for $40 at National Sports. Yes, it's an old style so it was cheap. But that was still legal and legitimate. So buy something old (that a sports store is trying to clear out) if you don't want to pay that money. To me that solves the old "but I want to wear it while playing" excuse.

i agree 100% with you. I save money by buying old/traded/retired/released player jerseys. I dont care if the guy isnt on the team anymore. If I like the player or team, Ill wear it. Most of the people will think you bought while the guy was still on the team anyways.

  5. Because people are stupid and like to drink

And because of that, they want to get one to show all their friends that they're Irish (but not) and they drink a lot

This must be strictly a US thing... I don't think I've ever seen people wearing St. Paddy's jerseys in Canada. Are there actually officially licensed versions?

yeah there are on the official shop

  6. People who buy counterfeits=inconsiderate republicans

    And this is based on?

Republicans are generally for less regulation. Less regulation makes it easier to buy and sell counterfeits. I think that's what he was trying to say, although it's a pretty huge generalization, and obviously isn't completely true. But there is a bit of logic to what he was saying.

alright im sorry for the post but they dont care about the american companies as long as it saves them a buck
