What exactly is "weak ass" about a league that's been healthily chugging along for close to a hundred years? Look, you're obviously an alternative football fanboy, and you desperately want some league to cling to. And I guess the CFL being Canadian doesn't scratch your itch, so you'll cling to any American option that comes your way. For all your trash talk about the AAF now? You were singing their praises mightily back when they launched.
I look forward to your impassioned defence of the American Patriot League once the XFL 2.0 burns out.
I’m only trash talking the uniforms and logos. It was decent football still. I mean I could trash talk a lot more about AAF if one wanted too. After what was found out. After believing they were running a good operation saying the money was there for 3 years at least. . Yes one has the right to be bitter and pissed.
American Patriot alliance won’t play a down. Either will the freedom league.
This is the last chance for spring ball.
But on the other hand this is a dying sport. It won’t be around 40 yrs from now.

I don't really care much about whatever arguments you've gotten into in the past.
What I do know is that as far as "alternative" football leagues go? Every other attempt (save the AFL) wishes it had the track record the CFL has. Keep tossing these failed "alternative" leagues out there if you want, the CFL will still be going strong. And I don’t care how much of a CFL homer boy you are. Just don’t get too touchy when I say the CFL is weak ass. Because it is. Sorry buddy
and it’s clear we don’t care much for each other. I’m staying in my lane dood. Don’t go crying to the moderators either. Let’s just keep it at this. Bye dood!

The league that's existed since the 30s with multiple teams older than the oldest NFL team is "weak ass?" The CFL has survived while every other "alternative" league you could fawn over died.
What debate? American leagues play American football, Canadian leagues play Canadian football. I was unaware there was a "debate" at all.
Years ago I was arguing about cfl vs what ever league on the web with some guy from Canada. He had all these preposterous claims of and this is my all time favorite one ever.
He claims: The 1984 Blue Bombers would’ve destroyed the 1984 49ers (
basically CFL vs NFL champs of that time). Never laughed harder in my life yet it had me thinking. Is the CFL really that good? Uh. Nah!
It would be kind of fun to see some NFL-CFL match ups. I really do wanna know.

It’s funny how vastly different our opinions are on these logos.
It is and really all across the spectrum of the interweb...i'd say it's 50/50 love and hate. if people were expecting the same juvenile names of the original XFL then good luck to them they can go back to their precious NFL. Mcmahon clearly stated none of the original names were to be used. I just laugn out loud when people say "oh man my NY isnt the Hitmen, i'm off board now"...
Theyre playing it safe and its a good thing.

That is crazy. Did they actually design it that way or is it just a crazy coincidence? Wow.
It was a crazy accident by myself, but who knows maybe it was intentional, i think its pretty damned clever to be perfectly honest if it was intentional

The fire fighter one was good too imo. The rest pretty much blew, but the jerseys were decent.
Funny enough. It was the hotshots logo that reminded me most of MLS

and I still stand by my cfl is weak ass comment many months later. I’ve felt this way for years.
they need need to settle the Canadian football vs American football debates once and for all. It would be kind of neat if this XFL makes to year 3. Seems very established. And maybe for the hell of it starts playing some games vs CFL teams. Home and away. You play in Canada you play by Canadian rules. Play in America go by our rules. Why the hell not! It would be fun stuff

You must have a low standard of logos, IMO. Those three are all the worst of their respective leagues.
In my opinion the Apollos had the only really decent logo in the whole AAF. Memphis was pretty ok too. The rest were very very poorly executed and half baked(just like everything that league was lol)

The Birmingham Iron logo was love at first sight for me. I don't get that feeling over any of these. Quite a letdown.
The AAF was half baked (everything about it) a good 5-6 of those logos were better suited for MLS. Anybody who thinks AAF logos were better I want what their smoking!

Turn the Battlehawks logo upside down and it reads..... STL

Well. These nicknames are pretty good and the St Louis nickname won’t win title for stupidest name in all of sports. Sorry!
In general I like all the logos. Definitely better overall than the AAF! I’m excited to see the uniforms.

as much as I love the Roughnecks, I wonder if @hawkfan89 has grounds to sue
I think the only logo that could be sued for is the dragons by uAb. These chaps have probably never heard of the Creamer logo forums. Their best defense

They also advertised locally much better than most of the AAF teams did.
Hell yes. Even the Washington Federals had better Marketing than the whole AAF put together. Lol. Believe me. I live in a former AAF town. It was frustrating to me how they weren’t marketing the franchise here. Well now we all know why they weren’t.
-
So names like the hotshots fleet and legends will look hall of fame in comparison huh? Great just great! Well spring football is officially dead now
edit. I can take one or 2 bad names maybe. Not a league full of them. No matter how great the uniforms might be. I’m praying to god these next 2 hours !!

The XFL did reasonably well at the gate. I think they were on par with USFL season 1 for attendance. The television part of it was the catastrophic failure In fact. The lowest atttended XFL game was around 10,000 and change. A figure is sure the AAF would’ve killed for.

The Oilers colors plus Black will go to Tampa Bay.....mark my words!'
Reason being, they reached deep into the history books and found there was a
Tampa Bay team to be in the PSFL(1992, but league folds 2 weeks before kickoff), same exact colors, the Tampa
Bay Outlaws.....My other predictions::
The LA team will probably be the blue silver white, paying homage to the old USFL Express minus the ugly maroon thank god!
The 3 greens goes to Seattle
The Blue orange green to St Louis
Black and Silver to New York
Red and White to Dallas
Red Orange and Black to Houston
Blue Grey Red to Washington
-
Im in awe of all these. I followed MLF first time around and so much has improved. The little touch ups here n there has greatly improved every team. Cant wait for the Seattle team as u say you've totally re-done the logo.
I love the Rhinos, reminds me of an all-red Memphis Showboats!!

Boise needs to get rid of their blue field now that they are in the Big East. Act like your in the big leagues
-
Glad to see TCU out of the BIG MESS. Didn't make sense geographicaly, they can renew some great rivalries again. Kudos!!+
-
SDSU and AFA would job any C-USA squad, home or away.
Wyoming or Colorado ST could either sneak out a win or play very well with the top C-USA teams, home or away
Yeah, UNLV and New Mexico blow. Every conference has there dog teams
-
Houston will choke. even if they do run the table, not sure how seriously the BCS committee takes an undefeated C-USA team.
-
Where's a damned SDSU-Tulsa game when i need one to make a case.
Oh yeah, they're going to the big house tomarrow. Won't be suprised at all if the Aztecs take this one.
Michigan better not be sleepy or they'll get their head handed to them...
-
Ok then lol..let's do it for all the non-BCS marbles
Houston vs Boise ST...anyone??
This one is over by halftime and we can play that game in their own backyard at Reliant Stadium
Because one team defines a conference.
C-USA is a fairly solid mid major league even if they haven't been able to haul out the one elite team.
Yes, The middle to bottom of both conferences are very comparable. the Top part of it is where they are worlds apart.
So, who is C-USA's great white hope this season for a non-BCS birth buster?? Or is that dream dead already?..HaaHaha
