Interesting reaction so, my Houston heavy Twitter feed really likes them, but replies on national tweets or this board negative.

I really like the H logo. Surprised it’s just the same primary Shell.

Still looks like the Lions' helmet to me, perhaps before the satin finish is applied. I think you're grasping at straws here, especially considering this light blue helmet helmet doesn't make a later appearance in the video, and the Lions' blue helmet does, but no other blue shell is shown.
certainly possible, just curious. -

It’s titled as a behind-the-scenes look for the 2023 alternate helmets. The blue helmet you’re seeing looks to me like the Lions’ alternate Honolulu blue helmets that they wore last year.
That’s not the Lions helmet, they had a satin finish this is something nobody wore this year.

At 15 seconds am I seeing an H-Town blue helmet?
Bottom third towards the back.

That looks almost exactly like Columbia blue. Interesting.
Hardly scientific but doing a color picker check on the hex number and it looks a little darker than Oilers hex side by side.

they said blue over white would never be seen again.
He just meant that particular set.

I hate stupid sublimated patterns inside numbers.
It’s just the perforation, not a patter. I prefer solid twill, but this is fortunately not a pattern. It does appear to me that the red outline might have some shine or texture to it.

I don’t think that was ever a thing that happened? I could be wrong, and Nike may have made the switch, but I don’t remember that.
He was at the media event, I’m assuming the team is at least saying the blue is darker. Maybe it’s just a fabric thing, I know the official color has not changed previously.

Can any of our color experts speak to this?

I hope this is their "traditional look". If so, I'd be okay with it.
I’m guessing it’s the bull one

This is just what was posted to Reddit. Looks pretty legit to me, but I have no idea of the original source.
That’s what I saw too.

I can’t recall the policy on leaks here, but there’s a Texans leak that seems legit floating around. Stingley in uniform.

The Texans have let it be known that they aren't changing their primary logo but I wonder if that includes colors. It's always been interesting to me that they didn't go with the official Texas flag colors, given the name and obvious logo connection to the flag. Depending on the lighting, I find the actual shade on the helmets and uniforms to kind of vary between these two blues.
I can see it happening. Especially if the “tough” uniform is black so they want more contrast between the dark blue and black.- 1

Local reporter here in Houston picking up the story.

I’ve been so excited about the Texans rebrand and now I’m convinced it will be awful. Hate that it’s 4 different looks.

They kept Roughnecks because, believe it or not, there’s actually some Roughnecks fans because they played games here. Never saw any Gambler 2.0 merch around town.

Just listened and I am not excited about what I heard. Sounds like 3 or 4 different styles in the 4 uniforms. “Tough” with H-town blue makes me think it’ll be black and blue.

I’ve yet to see a Texans concept that’s better than what they have now… Just be careful what you wish for.
I’m worried about that too. I’d like to see the light blue added, but I’m worried they will mess up the look more than fix it.
In the fan survey I suggested make red the primary and have a separate light blue color Rush.

High-tech Nike yet again struggling to reproduce a color? Wouldn’t surprise me.
They do the color already, clearly. The talk was of the Titans objecting to the Texans use of that color. That would cause the Texans to use a different shade of light blue.

Thinking of the 3 shell rule. Would it be possible for the Texans primary home uniform to have a white helmet, even if their primary road helmet is navy blue? Would they then be able to interchange those? They hinted there are 3 helmets and the road and one alt has one shell, so I'm curious. There's a graphic list they released that I read as the home uniform might be white helmet red top?
Edit - Looking now that doesn't necessarily add up because the H-Town helmet is navy not Light blue
