It’s a shame they ever felt the need to ditch these in the first place. The overwhelming majority of their Nike experiments have been hideous.

The change completely revolutionized their program.

Some insight into the difference in costs between Adidas' caste system.

Tier 1 Adidas jersey blanks retail to (high school) teams for $150, pants for $120

F2fytIKWcAA4xEP?format=jpg&name=mediumTier 2 jerseys has retail for $80 and pants for $85
    F2fyZ0LWQAEN3Mk?format=jpg&name=4096x409F2fyuYRXUAAvLo-?format=jpg&name=large

    Difference of $105 per set x 125 players x 2 uniforms (home & away) = $26,250

Not entirely true. Indiana jersey can be fully customizable also. You listed the stock version which is cheaper.

The choice is more about which embellishments you want. Unless you’re a big time college Adidas’s doesn’t offer much customization on the ghost. While the “adidas custom” is fully customizable and available with twill.

  3. This shirt celebrating 713 Day in Houston might be the first official Texans product I’ve seen use the Columbia blue Texans logo

I know I’m making something out of nothing, and I shouldn’t make too much off of a fashion shirt… BUT, when ownership said they were negotiating the colors with the league I wonder if the Titans want them to drop the Navy blue so it’s not an exact match and we will see black outlines instead

EDIT - That cup looks like it’s using deep steel blue, so I’m probably just grasping at straws, but we have seen an increased use of black  spacer.png

Does anyone know why they went BSN? Like was their deal up and they didn’t have time to get a new supplier immediately? Was it for being able to pick what they wanted? I guess I’m confused why a school that has done pretty well over the last 4ish years is being relegated to having this kind of a uniform issue.

I think it might have to do with UA having $ issues and the school not having leverage. Not 100% sure. Cal is with BSN now too.

Just terrible uniforms from NC State under Adidas, they get treated like a MAC program.

You might not like the looks, but this is just not true. NC State is one of the premier Adidas schools and has had access others do not.

Thats my best guess since the only bit of uniform they show is the current uniform sleeve number. They could unveil the 2024 look now, but they would lose out on a whole year of uniform and merchandise sales. Sure, WE know they will look different in 2024, but many more would know if they debut the new uniforms now

Anything other than the 2024 uniforms being unveiled is going to massively confuse most of the fan base.

If this is just the change to FUSE it’s extra dumb.

I can see it being making red the primary, but they shouldn’t be hyping it like this unless that change is carrying over to the new set.

They have these available through BSN, so maybe they turned it back on? I'd still expect something basic for at least 2023 until they have time to put out a full uniform layout with the proper accents.

But if it's not available for a full team layout, going one year with something like this won't be the worst thing.

Alpha Pro Stock has the FUSE collar, but is not the FUSE, it’s also just the stock jersey which I’d be surprised if they used.

It’s possible they will have some inventory that’s not public, but that catalog is not reflective of what’s available live necessarily. The FUSE has been off the Nike Team site since December when they announced they were out of capacity for it. But Cincinnati might be a special case.

Why would you think it would be the Vapor Pro instead of the Vapor F.U.S.E.?

I don’t think it will be FUSE because Cincinnati is going through BSN and not Nike direct. Nike cut off team dealer capacity for FUSE in December.

No, the fan base. Maybe not all of them, but it’s what people are talking about and want and is a big of enough deal down here that it’s been on the news etc, not just normal uniform rumor stuff.

Additionally, all signs point to some form of light blue being used. So feelings aside, concepts without them are leaving out what the team is actively marketing and saying and showing.

This is a 2024 topic, but have there been any credible leaks or speculation regarding what the Houston Texans are doing with the helmet, or their colors overall?

Many are fans of the Red helmet, of which I am not.  I think a Matte White helmet with a Navy faceguard would be a good change for them, and we got a little glimpse of how that could look with the XFL's Houston Roughnecks this season (partially).

However, the Texans logo looks best on a Navy helmet, but with a standard paint finish, no stripe and a Navy faceguard, it's just really boring.

Probably suggested before, but one simple fix:  satin Navy finish, metallic Red faceguard.  Similar to the original AAF promo helmet (which used a chrome Red faceguard):

    AAF_Helmet-e1550157701610.jpg

If they wanted to, they could add a 2-color stripe:  1/2 Red, 1/2 White, that ended a few inches up from the back bottom of the helmet, leaving room for a single White star, replicating the Texas flag.

Credible leak was the Columbia blue H hat from their uniform meeting with the media. Sounds like there’s some push back from the league that they are working through. Ownership has been clear that light blue is also found on city flag and Houston police cars.

Based on everything we’ve seen and heard it seems like they will add light blue to their current colors and focus on red overall more. I’d expect the old English H Town font to be prevalent  too.
